Combs GARDEN CITY - Mrs. Annie Melinda Combs, 95, died Monday at the Bethel Rest Home,; Montezuma, after a short ill-' ness. Born Jan. 17, 1876, in' Uliopolis, HI., she was married to Elza M. Combs March 31, 1897, in Warrensburg, 111. He died June 23, 1323, in Argonia. She lived in Garden City since 1945. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Illinois. Survivors include sons: Maurice, Deerfield; Adrian, Enid, Okla.; daughters: Mrs. Belva Wheeler, Winsiow, Ariz.; Mrs. Lela Wimp, Argonia; Mrs. An r nav Hull, Garden City; 14 grandchildren; 21 great - grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren. Melinda Mayhew SYRACUSE — A former Syracuse resident, Melinda Ann Mayhew, 20, Wichita, was killed Sunday in a traffic accident. She was born June 1, 1951, and was a student at Wichita State University. She was a member of the University United Methodist Church. She is survived by her father: Thurmond A. Mayhew, Wichita; step-mother; sister: Mrs. Barclay Brumley, Radcliffe, Ky.; half-brother: Craig Thompson, Syracuse; step-sister: Suzanne Seninoff, Wichita; step-brother: Stephen B. Seninoff, West Point, N.Y.; grandfather: John Mayhew, Wichita. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Resthaven Chapel, Wichita; Rev. Edwin P. Lack. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Felisburg Cemetery, Fellsburg. Arch C. Sever DODGE CITY — Arch C. Sever, 86, died Monday at Trinity Hospital, Dodge City, after a long illness. Born May 31, 1885, in Warrensburg, Mo., he married Elizabeth! May Gallaway in 1908 at Coldwater. She died June 7, 1952. He married Mrs. Susan A. Evans in 1954 at Clayton, N.M. She died Oct. 7, 1956. He married Mrs. Bessie Pierce in 1957 in Loveland, Colo. He was a retired owner and operator of Maggie and Jiggs' Restaurant, Dodge City. He lived in Dodge City since 1922. Survivors include the widow; daughter: Mrs. Robert Banta Great Falls, Mont.; brothers: John. Kansas City, Mo.; Earl La Mesa, Calif.; sisters: Mrs John Hostin, Hot Springs, Ark. Mrs. Roy Simmons, Clinton Mo.; one grandchild. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hulpieu - Swaim Chapel, Dodge City; Rev. R. W Treder. Burial will be in Mapl< Grove Cemetery. Choate, 73, Wichita, a former Hutchinson area minister, died Monday at Wesley Hospital, Wichita. Born Jan. 30, 1898 at St. Joseph, 111., he moved to Kansas in 1918 from Illinois. A retired Methodist minister, he was graduated from Friends University and was a member of the College Hill United Methodist Church, Wichita. Area churches in which he served include Halstead, Mt. Hope and Stafford. He was past executive secretary for religious education of the Kansas Central Conference of United Methodist Churches. Survivors include the widow, Ruth; son: C. Arthur Jr., Santa Rosa, Calif.; daughter: Mrs. Phyllis Southard, Overland Park; brother: Calvin, Clio, Mich.; sisters: Mrs. Juanita Passon. Sanvell, Mich.; Mrs. Ruth Campbell, Oxford, Mich.
