Despite these undeniable facts, the National Democratic Party proposes to engage in a program of unprecedented Federal spending and expansion. And this program would, without a doubt, be accompanied by tremendous increases in borrowing, and perhaps, taxation. The Republican Party contains a vital corps of leaders who are dedicated to the preservation of our Constitutional form of Government. These leaders are of tremendous importance.

It is hoped that many Democrats who believe that the power of the Federal Government should be limited, will join the Republican Party. If they do so, and if they will work to elect Republicans who hold these views to State and National offices, we can be certain that the Republican Party will become an even greater medium for preserving our Constitutional form of Government. It is vitally essential that many Democrats follow this course. For It is a condition of our survival as a free people. This will be particularly true, if the National Democratic Party its Plans, or of compelling the peo- pie to buv the commodities pro state, their Master.

And that is precisely what the designers of the I960 Democratic Platform seek to accomplish. Their primary purpose is to reduce the people to complete dependence upon the Federal Government.
