C. Black of Alexandria are assist ing the Rev. Edgar Allen Ingram la the meetings. Interest was manifested in the re vlvals during the past week and IB members were added to the church, It was said.

Large crowds have attended the meetings. Doctor Angell snd Mr. Black wlU appear in several departments of the church at the Sunday school today. Revival meetings at the Highland iii I 1 Baptist church, which have been In progress for the past week, will con tinue through the week and will be part of the two regular services today, it was announced Saturday. Dr.

C. Roy Angell of Baton Rouge and which starts at 9:30 a. m. To ysECWWTH PURCHASE (Continued Frara Ts One,) was adopted. It is beyond dispute that the congress which provided American liberty was not chosen by the American people.

And so with the other disputed claim that the present American system of choosing president and vice-president did not originally obtain. The careful student of American history knows that George Washington was not elected first president by popular vote; he was appointed. Nor was it originally the function of the electoral college to name a president direct. In 1801 the American house of representatives, on the thirty-sixth ballot, selected Thomas Jefferson president over Aaron Burr. The Times drafted illustrations from American annals to show that as quickly, as it could be done, the American constitution makers placed all political authority in the hands of the American people.

At no time in American history was there the slightest suggestion of employing the services of a hired executive. The American government is democratic and its public servants come from the heart of the people. AH of the arguments, all of the logic, all of the sane reasoning, bring Us unerringly back to the inescapable conclusion that there is but one form of city administration really responsive to popular will, only one form which we can properly designate as democratic, only one form which centralizes authority in an honored local executive, only one form which tracks the proved pattern of American government. That is the aldermanic form. ill Bp You get a FREE can an extra 25 saving when you buy any of the 6 products listed here, Now's the time to buy for you get ifrtt futrt with a gallon purchase, fret 'A pint with a quart.
