Jett, DOS DENTIN BONDED FILLINGS A) It chemically bonds the filling to the dentin, reducing leakage in the future. B) It makes the fillings more comfort-', able to cold and hot foods. C) It makes the filling last longer. • In conclusion, the dentin bonding. technique works very well and justifies the additional fee that may be charged. * * * A new development has happened in dentistry that makes fillings better. Dentin is the hard tooth material that is under the harder enamel layer. Bonding of various materials to the dentin has not been possible in the recent past. Research has developed a bonding] system that now allows dentists to actu-i ally chemically bond metal, resins and porcelain to dentin. This gives dentistry new ways to save teeth and make them look good and last longer. Much to the surprise of the researchers, another use of this dentin bonding system has been discovered; When alloy fillings are placed, the bonding resins are used before the filling is packed into the tooth. The race course is 25 miles long and covers a challenging route east of Salina. Tandem bicycles will not be allowed in the race. All riders will be required to wear a bicycle helmet and a jersey or T-shirt. Headphones are prohibited. The entry fee is $10 if received before Tuesday, June 6. The late entry fee is $12. Asbury Partners may enter for $9.00 before the early entry deadline. The age categories are: 12-18,19-25,26-35,36-45,46-55 and 56 and above. WEATHER: In case of rain, we ride and race as planned. In the event of severe weather, the race officials reserve the right to move one or both events to the alternate date, which is Saturday, June 17. No refunds will be given. QUESTIONS?: If you have any questions, call the Asbury Marketing Department at (913)826-3601. PACKET PICK-UP/LATE REGISTRATION: Packets that include the rider's T-shirt, race number (for racers), map of the course and other information will be provided to all participants. Packet pickup and late registration will be at the Information Booth at the Smoky Hill River Festival, near the suspended bridge entrance. Pickup time will be: 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 10 7 to 7:45 a.m. Sunday, June 11 at Kenwood Park THE TANDEM RIDE: 7:40 A.M., June 11,1995, Kenwood Park. New this year! In this non-competitive event, tandems will ride the 25-mile race course. Helmets and shirts required. Fees same-as the Race. Special awards will be presented. 4 Mile Family Ride THE FAMILY FUN RIDE: 7:30 A.M., June 11,1995, Kenwood Park. Bring the entire family out for an easy, four- mile fun ride over a scenic (and flat) course. Children under seven will not be allowed on a separate bicycle. Youngsters are welcome on bicycle seats or in buggies pulle<tbehind bicycles. Helmets are required for participants in the family ride. Call Asbury at 826-3601 if you would like to order a helmet for $8.50 (child or adult). Headphones are prohibited. The entry fee for the family fun ride is $8 for those ordering adult size T-shirts and $5 for those ordering youth size T-shirts, if received by Tuesday, June 6. Asbury Partners may enter for $7 or $4, before the early entry deadline.
