Police term death of man as 'suspicious' Shreveport police are investigating what they call a "suspicious death" in the Spring Lake neighborhood. Authorities were called to the 300 block of Gentilly Circle about 7:15 p.m. Thursday after a woman discovered the body of her brother in his house when she went to check on him, police patrol reports say. James Parsley, 50, was deceased when police arrived at the house, the report says. The body bore no visible wounds.

And police said that while the death could be a suicide, they will treat it as a possible homicide, the report says. Authorities are awaiting results of an autopsy. From Staff Reports Michael Bato, 26, of Shreveport, is charged with indecent behavior with a juvenile. Bato, who managed a Bossier City video game store frequented by children, allegedly sent a 13-year-old girl more than 50 messages on her MySpace page over a three-day period. After receiving a complaint from the girl's parent, Detective Robert Greer began investigating Bato and posed as the girl to correspond with him.

During those conversations, Bato allegedly made sexually explicit comments and stated he was looking for Bato 31 Cocclolone Howard a girlfriend. Police seize cocaine, arrest four Floridians State police confiscated about 10 pounds of cocaine in a traffic stop on Interstate 20 early Friday and arrested four Florida men on drug charges. The stop occurred about 3:48 a.m.

God did a wonderful work in Obie's life. He loved going to church and prayer meetings. Obie is now with his sweet mother and father today. Obie also loved his work at Walmart and loved making a garden every year.

He loved people and was very friendly to all. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmon and Eva Mae Thompson. He is survived by his sister, Loria Lee; nieces, Pansy Lee and Pam Lee Houston and husband, Cordell. Also survived by great-nephews, Jeremy, Russell and Dustin Houston and several cousins. Newspaper deliveryman robbed in Shreveport A newspaper delivery person was robbed just after 4 a.m. Friday in the 1700 block of Pointe Coupee Street in Shreveport, police say. Garrett, III and Terry V. Garrett.
