Jean Seberg, Husband, Fly To New York MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (AP) -Movie actress Jean Seberg and her French lawyer husband were in New York today--still uncertain whether they'll honeymoon on the West Coast or in Europe. Miss Seberg, 19, who stepped from high school 'drama classes to lead roles in two movies, wed Francois Moreuil, 24. of Paris in a simple ceremony at the church of her girlhood here Friday. After the wedding the couple flew to New York. Miss Seberg said hey would remain there at least until Monday "and maybe! longer-it all depends." The uncertainty arises because Columbia Pictures may offer Jean a part in a movie to be filmed in Hollywood.

The newlyweds had tentatively scheduled a European honeymoon. but postponed definite plans until they get an okay from Columbia. The wedding Friday created considerable excitement among people of this central Iowa city of 20.000. The church. where Jean once taught Sunday school, was filled to its 250 capacity.

Ruth Ann Allen, daughter of Mrs. Arthur Allen and the late Mr. Allen of Glidden, married Robert Lee Nicholls of Harrisburg, son of Mr. and Mrs. C.

C. Nicholls of Kenesaw, at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon. August 31, in the First Methodist Church at Glid. den. The bride has taught in the Manning and Ames schools.

Mr. Nicholls received his M.S. and Ph. D. degrees in civil engineering at Iowa State College, Ames.

After Sept. 8, the couple will live at 2017 North Second Street, Harrishurg, Pa. (Paige Paige Photos). She Sholes-Leiting Vows Taken in Church Rites In a Saturday morning ceremony at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Maple River, wedding vows were taken by LaVonne Leiling, daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Lawrence Leiting of Maple River, and Leonard D. Sholes of Lincoln. son of Mr. and Mrs.

Daniel W. Sholes of O'Neill, Neb. The double ring service and nuptial mass took place at 9 o'clock, with the Rev. Peter M. Mates officiating.

Altar decorations were garden flowers. The organ "Processional" was by Roulers and "Recessional" by tigliers. St. Francis Choir sang "Ave Maria" at the offertory and the hymn. "Mother Mary at Thine Altar" by Haller, as the bride placed an arm bouquet of white gladioli, tied with shaded blue satin, on the Blessed Virgin's altar after mass.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of silk bombazine and Chantilly lace, styled with molded infanta bodice and bouffant skirt. 'The sweetheart neckline was defined with applique of lace, iridescents and seed pearls, which extended down the skirt front into twin panels. Long, crushed and pointed sleeves featured detailing at the tops. The exI tremely full skirt was gathered from a low dropped waistline and continued into a -cathedral sweep train. A panel insert the entire length of the back repeated the lace accent.

The bride wore the same veil her sisters. Mrs. Lou Galetich and Mrs. John Leahy, had worn at their weddings. The hand-rolled silk illusion veil was caught to a pleated plateaus embroidered with iridescents and seed pearls, with a single -drop pearl in the center.

The bride carried a Chantilly lacecovered prayerbook. designed with a detachable lavender orchid and clusters of tinted orchid carnations falling in knotted satin showers. Maid of honor was Marge Koenig of Omaha. friend of the bride, and bridesmaid was Mary Jo Lemker, cousin of the bride. Their were of nylon chiffon and lace.

The cotillion blue hallerine dresses I bodices were fashioned of vertically shirred and draped chiffon forming necklines in the fronts and backs. Cummerbund of pleated taffeta showed back tailored bows. The bouffant skirts were full circles of lace. falling over stiffened petticoats. Bridal games were played and prizes awarded to Mrs.

Joe Beyerink of Glidden, mother of the bridegroom-to-be, Carlene Potthoff and Margaret Wanniger of Carroll. A gift table was decorated in the bridal colors, coral and white, with a miniature bride and two attendants. Guests gave advice to the bride-elect and asked questions relating to her courtship. Mrs. Don Pletchette Gives Birthday Party For Daughter Nina, 4 (Times Herald News Service) DEDHAM Mrs. Don Pletchette entertained a group of little girls Tuesday afternoon at her home at a birthday party hon-' oring her daughter, Nina, who was four years old. Games were played and lunch was served.

Mrs. Pletchette was assisted by Nina's grandmother, Mrs. John Pletchette, who also made and decorated the birthday cake. Bruce Bottolfson's Birthday Supper in Cowboy, Indian Mode A supper party in a cowboy and Indian theme was given by Mr. and Mrs.

W. D. Bottolfson at their home Friday night in honor of the seventh birthday of their son, Bruce, which occurs Monday. Guests assembled at 5 p. and played cowboy and Indian games after which Bruce opened his birthday gifts.

Supper was served at a table decorated with an Indian encampment at one end, a cowboy cabin and regalia at the other end and a battleground in between. Cowboy and Indian nut cups were placed at each table setting. Favors were Indian headbands and miniature tomahawks. Individual cakes were in the shape of tom-toms with candy 'drumsticks." In the group of 14 guests were Mickey Everett, Mark Ogren, Denny Vetter, Tom Farner, Joe Nockels, Chris Thorup, Gene Elhinney, Mike Wall, Peter Macke. David Henning, Roger Wittkopp, Frank Knutzen Jirn Wheeldon and Chris Robertson.

Gayle Ann Gruber, a 1958 graduate of Carroll High School, is leaving Sunday morning to enter Iowa State Teachers College, Cedar Falls. She is accompanying her parents, Mr.

and Mrs. F. F. Gruber, who will attend a reception for the new students and parents Sunday afternoon and return home. Sunday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. 0. D. Dorman went to Ames Saturday morning to meet their granddaughters, Debbie and Diana Berntsen of Cedar Rapids, who will spend a week with them.

The children's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Berntsen, and their youngest daughter, Cindy, will visit in Des Moines for a few days, coming to the Dorman home here the middle of next week. Mr. and Mrs.

Jewlene Jung Has Party Celebrating Her Fourth Birthday Jewlene Jung. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jewell Jung, celebrated her fourth birthday at a party given by her mother, at their home Friday afternoon. Children who were guests were Deborah Grenier, Carol Baker, Debbie Baumhover, and Curtis and Richard Also in the group were Jewlene's sister, Pamela, and brother, Jeffrey.

Special guests were Jewlene's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Mills of Cedar Rapids, and grandmother, Mrs. Larry Jung. After the children had played games on the lawn, ice cream and cake were served.

Jewlene's large, square birthday cake was decorated with a farm scene including a tractor. animals and a field. Jewlene received birthday gifts. Mr. and Mrs.

Mills, who came to the Jung home Tuesday, returned to Cedar Rapids Friday night. Misses Agnes Finnegan and Irene: McDonald are leaving Saturday to spend several days at market in Minneapolis, Minn. Breakfast, Sun. Sept. 7th.

and Mrs. Malachy Morrissey, and daughter, Mary Jo, are taking him there. Stephen was graduated from St. Henry's Prep School in June. He worked at the Pepsi-Cola plant here this summer.

Dr. and Mrs. A. Reas Anneberg and daughter, Bertha, are leaving Saturday for Cedar Falls, where Bertha, who was graduated from Carroll High School in May, is entering Iowa State Teachers College. Dr.

Adv. TEACHER STAR QUITS CEDAR FALLS (AP) -Lew Roberts, of Independence, who led the scoring in the North Central Conference as a sophomore last year, quit the Iowa Teachers football team Friday. No reason for his departure was given. Celebrate Tenth Anniversary of the Norbert Bernings (Times Herald News Service) ARCADIA Mr. and Mrs.

Norbert Berning were surprised at a picnic dinner given by relatives at the Berning home north of Arcadia August 31. Their tenth wedding anniversary was Sept. 1. Mrs. Berning is the former Marjorie Miller of Carroll.

An anniversary cake was served with the dinner and Mr. and Mrs. Berning were presented with a purse from the group. The afternoon was spent visiting and playing cards. Lunch was served later.

Participants were: Mr. and Mrs. William Berning and son Bill, and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Berning and daughters, Breda; Mr.

and Mrs. Wilfred Berning and family, Anthon; Mr. and Mrs. LaVerne Berning and family, Iowa Falls: Mr. and Mrs.
