Mr. Burke, a native of DeAnn, AR and a resident of this area for 61 years, passed away Monday, November 6, 2000 in Shreveport, LA after a short illness. He retired of the Burke Consulting Corp.

She was born in Meade, MS and had resided in Shreveport, LA for 45 years. Mrs. Owen was a member of Faith Assembly of God and she was employed in the health care industry. Survivors are a special niece, Betty Lewis, husband Steve a and their daughter. Amber; nieces and nephews, Edward Hoover, Brenda LaPrairie and Annette Babers; and numerous other relatives.

Mr. Gentry is a retired captain from the USAF, after retirement he taught in the Bossier Parish School System. He was a member of the Barksdale United Methodist Church, past Master of Martin-McClanahan Masonic Lodge, and member of York Rite Masonic Bodies. 1, 2000, after a courageous battle with cancer since 1992. Born in Dale, Indiana, May 6, 1923, he was preceded in death by his parents and brother. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane; brothers, Tyrus, Vernon and William; sister, Lou Etta; and nephew, Maynard G. Brandon. was discharged from the U.

S. Navy at the end of World War as a Lieutenant, having trained as a carrierdive-bomber pilot and serving as an instructor in night and instrument flying. After military service, he joined Hendrix Mfg. Co. Inc.

in April 1948, where he was a valued employee representing them in parts of the U.S., Canada, South America and India until his retirement in July 1995. Joe was well known and respected throughout the construction and mining industries not only by Hendrix customers, but also by Hendrix's competition. After his retirement, Joe was active in the community, serving as a member of the executive committee of the Desoto Parish Chamber of Commerce, president of Mansfield Crime Stoppers, a member of the Mansfield Planning and Zoning Commission and the Desoto Parish Airport Zoning Authority. Services will be held in Illinois. A memorial service will be held in Mansfield, LA at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. Herbert Edward Lovelady ZWOLLE, LA Herbert Edward Lovelady, of Zwolle, LA, passed away November 6, 2000 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church at 10 a.m., Thursday, November 9, 2000 with interment at Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, November 7th at 4:30 p.m.

at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Mr. Lovelady was a lifelong resident of Sabine Parish. He as widely known for his skill and talent for bricklaying and loved greatly by his family.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marguerite H. Lovelady of Zwolle, LA; also surviving are his six children, Helen Sloan and husband, Tim of Lafayette, LA, Pat Lovitt and husband, Keith of Zwolle, LA; Ronnie Lovelady and wife, Twyla of Negreet, LA; Nina Dickson and husband, Jim of Belmont, LA; Paul Lovelady and wife, Sandy of Zwolle, LA; and Rachel Ponder and husband, Donnie of Marshall, TX. Rose-Neath Funeral Home Marshall St. Chapel 222-0348 SHREVEPORT, LA Mr. Dallas O. Baillio, age 90, died Sunday, November 5, 2000 at Willis-Knighton North Medical Center. Graveside services will be held at 10 a a.m., Tuesday, November 7, 2000 at Greenwood Cemetery in Shreveport with Father Franz Graef of Holy Trinity Catholic Church officiating.

Mr. Baillio was born in Alexandria, LA on June 10, 1910, the son of James and Josephine Verzwyvelt Baillio. His family moved to Shreveport early in his childhood. Mr. Baillio was a cabinetmaker and wood craftsman who worked for many years for furniture stores in the Shreveport area.

After he retired, he continued his interest in woodworking with a shop at his home. He was well known for his ability to restore and repair furniture, and to construct wooden toys and decorative objects. Mr. Baillio married Edna Oden Hartsfield in 1933. She preceded him in death in 1981.

He is survived by two daughters, Jan Bozman Stonewall, LA and Sallye Petruchyk of Newport News, VA; two sons, Robert Baillio of Shreveport, La and Dallas O. Baillio, Jr. of Mobile, AL; 13 grandchildren and 10 Evelyn Ruth McGuire Welch BERNICE, LA Services for Evelyn Ruth McGuire Welch, 66, of Bernice, will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 7, 2000 at Weldon Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Neil Everett.

Burial will be in the Weldon Baptist Church Cemtery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Bernice. Mrs. Welch died Sunday, November 5, 2000 in Bernice, LA following a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald D. Welch, Sr.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Tuesday, November 2000 at the funeral home. Mr. Trammell died Monday, November 6, 2000 in Ruston, LA after a lengthy illness. He was a lifelong resident of Dubach, LA.

Mr. Trammell was retired owner of Wood Pallett, Inc. He was a member of the Dubach United Methodist Church and was Town Council member for 21 years. Mr. Trammell served in the U.S.

Army Air Corps and was a veteran of WWII. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Mr. Trammell was preceded in death by his son, Lynn Trammell. Survivors are his wife of 55 years, Margaret Trammell of Dubach; daughters, Ann Golman and husband, Richard of El Dorado, AR, Janis T.

Caverlee and husband, James B. of Marietta, GA, Jayne Trammell-Kelly and husband, Steve Kelly of West Monroe, LA; son, Robert W. Mr. Johnson USAF (retired). Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Johnson. He is survived by one daughter, sons, Bill Bossier City and Marilyn Dewoody, of Bossier City; two Gary Johnson of Little Rock, AR; three grandchildren, Austin and Ansley Johnson and David Tyree; one brother, Keith Johnson of Harrington, KS.

Visitation will be at the church from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and noon til 1:45 p.m. Wednesday. Mrs. Brent passed away Sunday November 5, 2000 at Lake Charles Hospital.

A native of Little Rock, Arkansas, she moved to Welsh from DeRidder years ago to be the minister of the First United Methodist Church of Welsh and Hayes United Methodist Church. She has been in pastoral ministry for years. She served as director of Christian Education at St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Shreveport. She served as church musician, youth director and teacher.

Mrs. Brent also served on the Lake Charles District Committee of Ordained Ministry as registrar. She was a of the Christian Education Fellowship, Welsh Rotary Club, Welsh-Roanoke Ministerial Alliance, and was honored as a lifetime member of United Methodist Women. She had a Bachelor of Arts degree from Centenary College in Shreveport, a Masters of Christian Education from Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois, and a Masters of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology from Southem Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Survivors include her husband, Rev.

Wilson H. Brent of Welsh; daughter, Rebecca Brent of Cary, North Carolina; mother, Claudia F. Treadway of Jackson, Mississippi; two sisters, Marcia Gainey of Pensacola, Florida and Virginia Campbell of Jackson, Mississippi; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Dorothy Rogers WASKOM, TX Graveside services for Dorothy Rogers, 91, of Marshall, TX, were held at 12 noon, Monday, Nov. 6, 2000 at the Greenwood Cemetery, Greenwood, LA under the direction of the Sullivan Family Funeral Home. Rev. Leland Crawford officiated. Mrs.

Rogers was born August 3, 1909 in Waskom, TX, her father was E. W. Farmer. She died at 7:45 a.m., Saturday, November 4, 2000 at Marshall Regional Medical Center. She graduated from the Waskom High School and went on to also graduate from Stephen F.

Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX. Mrs. Rogers was a member of the First Baptist Church in Waskom, TX. was known for her laugh to the point that her favorite saying was "The day that I quit laughing, is the day that I start crying." Mrs. Rogers married Larkin Calvin Rogers on March 16, 1931 in Waskom, TX, he preceded her in death on June 17, 1981.

Survivors are one son, L. C. Rogers, Jr. of Naples, FL; daughter and son-inlaw, Janice R. and Ted Polman of Waskom, TX; grandchildren, Ted and Marilyn Polman, Ill of Simsboro, LA, Dorothy Louise and Jeff McCombs of Nashville, TN; great-grandchildren, Page Elizabeth and Greg Hughes Gainesville, GA Toby Polman of Simsboro, LA; great-great-grandchildren, Jordan Hughes of Gainesville, GA and Katie McCombs of Nashville, TN.

Williams died Sunday, November 5, 2000 after a lengthy illness. A native of Delhi, LA, Mr. Williams was a former resident of Wisner, LA and had resided in Shreveport, LA for most of his life. He was a retired carpenter with James Brown Construction Company and was a member of South Park Church of God. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Edmonds Funeral Home and 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Tabernacle. Governor Davis died Sunday, November 5, 2000 at his residence in Baton Rouge, LA.

He was a singersong writer and a two time former governor of Louisiana. Survivors include his wife, Anna Carter Davis of Baton Rouge, LA; one son, Jimmie Davis, Jr. of Newellton, LA; two step-sons, Gregory Gordon of Nashville, TN and Howard Gordon of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; one stepdaughter, Vickie Owens of Fort Worth, TX; two sisters, Dorothy Black of Phoenix, AZ and Lela Mae King of Webster, TX: one granddaughter, DeCarla Sunshine Netterville and husband, Jeff of Natchez, MS; two greatgranddaughters, Summer Netterville and Addie Grace Netterville. Eleanor Margaret Johnson Parker SHREVEPORT, LA Eleanor Margaret Johnson Parker died Sunday, November 5, 2000 after a brief illness.

Services will be 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 8, 2000 at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Mike McLaurin. Interment will be at Hill Crest Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m.

Wednesday until service time. Mrs. Parker was born August 22, 1911 in Montgomery County, lowa. Her parents were Milton Johnson, Sr. and Alice Larson Johnson.

She graduated valedictorian from Villisca, Iowa High School in 1930. She was a member of the girls' basketball team. She married Robert Clay Parker in Clarksburg, West Virginia in November, 1942. Her husband was a career Air Force officer and they lived many places before settling in Shreveport in 1958. She retired in 1971 as an executive secretary for the Inspector General's Office, Second Air Force Headquarters, Barksdale AFB.

She was preceded in death by her husband; an infant son; sisters, Bessie, Leona, Stella and Ruby; and brothers, Marion, Leonard and Barton. She is survived by her two sons, Roger Clay Parker of Monroe, LA and his wife, Donna Stephens Parker and their two sons, Robert Clay and Andrew Stephen; son, Glenn Stephen Parker of Shreveport, LA and his wife, Mary Colquitt Parker and their two children, Emily, Lauren and Robert Colquitt. Mrs. Parker is also survived by her sister, Julia Johnson; brothers, Milton Johnson, Jr. and Jimmy Johnson; special niece, Janice Arkfeld; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Eleanor was a true child of the depression. She faced every challenge that life could bring her way, but still managed to be an exemplary Christian and loving mother. She was the owner and operator of Superette in Blanchard, LA for 16 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, N. J. Tate. She is survived by one daughter, Michele Tynan and husband, Donald of Deberry, TX; one son.

Michael A. Bouillon and wife, Patricia of Bossier City, LA; three step-daughters, Linda Lipscomb and husband, Max, Carol Trahan, and Connie Tate; three step-sons, William Tate, Roy Tate and wife, Barbara, and Randall Tate all of Shreveport, LA; one sister, Dorothy Blanchard of Fairview Alpha, LA; and one brother, Gilbert Hubbard Campti, LA; twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be M. E. Lowe, Wayne Gipson, Miles Wallis, Steve Riall, William Baker and Mark Cascio.
