Deaths 6A Tuesday, February 20, 1996, Longview News-Journal OBITUARIES today at Lakeview chapel. Horace B. Tye NAPLES Services for Horace B. Tye, 74, of Naples, will be 3 p.m. today at Rocky Branch Missionary Baptist i Church with Bro.

James Hinkle; officiating. 4 Burial will be in Wilder Cemetery; under the direction of Alexander! Funeral Home. Mr. Tye died Sunday in Lloyd Percell At his own request, private family services fa Lloyd Percell, 71 of Longview, will be held at a later date. Mr.

Percell died Sunday morning at a local hospital. He had lived in Longview fa 38 years coming from Avinger, Texas and was born on Nov. 8, 1924, in Chlcothe, Texas. Mr. Percell was employed by Lone Star Steel as a mefrer and was a veteran of the United States Navy during World War II.

The family has requested that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society. Mr. Percell is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lloyd Percell of Longview; son, Richard Percell of Atlanta, daughters, Vcki Clark of Longview and Janet Phillips of Midland; sister, Daolhy McClain of Troup, Texas and six grandchildren, Ryan and Raven Percell of Atlanta, Adrienne and Angela Phillips of Midland, Texas and Chad and Carmen Clark of Longview. Rice On Sept. 8,1915, Mary Butler Bagwell Rice was bom to Lillie and Nathaniel Luther Bagwell in Nashville, Tenn. She started her life with enthusiasm and gusto. She was excited to Born Jan. 6, 1922, in Magnolia, he was a retired employee of the Red River Army Depot, a member of Rocky Branch Missionary Baptist Church and a I World War II veteran serving Philippines.

Survivors include wife, Ellen Lavenia; Tye of Naples; two daughters, Vifkie! Qatato of Fort Worth, Wanda McKinney of Annona; son, Wayne Tye of Phoenix, four stepchildren, James Gibbs of Mexia, Donna Johnson of New Boston, Brenda Coffey of Omaha and Hftgh Gibbs of Maud, brother, Grady Tye of I Mathis, 17 grandchildren and "12; great-grandchildren. Judy Tiderman Kane Memorial services for Judy Kane, 60, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Little Rock, with Larry Benefield officiating. Ms; Kane died Thursday in Longview.

Born Aug. 23, 1935, in Muncie, she was a Volunteer in Public Schools in the Little Rock school district and attended St Mark's Episcopal Church where she served as the president of the Women's Ministry and the senior warden of the church. After moving to Longview, she attended services at Trinity Episcopal Church and at Whispering Pines Lodge. She was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Tiderman. Survivors include mother, Marguerite Bailey of Longview, daughter, Kathy Couture of Coronado, sons, Darby Kane of Longview and Mark Kane of Little Rock, eight grandchildren and several aunts and uncles.

Memorials may be made to St Mark's Episcopal Church or Centers for Youth and Families in Little Rock Cremations services were under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Joyce Ann Richards Services for Joyce Ann McVicker "Sug" Richards, 59, of Longview, will be 11 am. Wednesday at Longview Baptist Temple with Robert Bowen officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Gardens under the direction of Lakeview Funeral Home. Mrs.

Richards died Saturday. Born June 7, 1936, in Hollis, Okla, she was a homemaker and a member of Longview Baptist Temple. Survivors include husband, Connie Richards of Longview; sons, David Richards of Longview and Michael Scott Richards of Oklahoma City, Okla; sister, Louise Rohrbacker of Lower Lake, brothers, John D. McVicker of Clarendon, Jackie McVicker of Dumas, T. Buck McVicker of St.

Louis, and Billy Boy McVicker of Deer Park. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. mm live life to the fullest. Very early she and her sisters, Sarah and Andromedia, formed a team and how she loved her teammates! Together they faced the world and learned life's lessons of friendship and love.

She met many people along the way who enriched her life. She bved them and they bved her. On Dec. 20, 1934, she formed a new team with Z.E. (Country) Rice, who was one of a kind.

They moved to Wngsport, where they began Iheir association with Tennessee Eastman. They decided to expand Iheir team and added Zebtes E. Rice Raymond, Pam and Donna. Mm b2 sisters, Ruby Shaw and Helen Daniels, both of Hallsville, Velma Benton of Longview, Ester Daniels of Fort Worth, Ella Hamilton of Houston, Elnora Davis of Ellicatt City, brother, Emmitt Boyd of Dallas, seven grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. The body will be on view from 2 p.m.

to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home chapel.

William Brauch Services for William Brauch of Wall-ingford, will be today. Survivors include brother, Charles Schnetzer of Longview; wife, Edna; daughter, Patsy Walts; son, George Brauch, and three sisters, Betty Herget of Lindenhurst, N.Y., Helen Herget of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Ethel Connors of Newtown, Conn. Gladys OlineGaddis GILMER Services for Gladys Oline Gaddis, 78, of Gilmer, will be 10 am today at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Verlon Feller and Robert Webb officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial "Park.

Mrs. Gaddis died Saturday in a local hospital. She was bom Feb. 4, 1918, in Upshur County, where she lived all her life. A homemaker and member of First United Methodist Church in Gilmer, Mrs.

Gaddis married Raby Gaddis on March 8, 1936, in Simpsonville. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jane Gaddis Blalack. Mrs. Gaddis is survived by her husband, Raby Gaddis of Gilmer; daughters, Nell Yocum and Tony Kuza, both of Gilmer, four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Corine Gregory CARTHAGE Services for Corine Gregory, 69, of Carthage, will be 2 p.m.

today at Jimerson Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Rick Tate, Kevin Poage and Rob Jolley officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery. Gregory died Sunday at her residence. She was born Feb.

9, 1927, in Carthage, was a homemaker and a member of the Assembly of God faith. Her husband, Raymon Gregory, preceded her in death Jan. 13, 1980. Survivors include her mother, Lucy Fowler of Carthage; daughter, Carol Bounds of Carthage; two sons, Glenn Wayne Davidson of Union City, and Donnie Ray Gregory of Mobile, Ala; two sisters, Naomie Summers of Union City, Okla, and Patsy Bowden of Tena-ha; two brothers, Sam Fowler of Rusk and Andrew Fowler of Crockett, 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Donald Ray Herron Services for Donald Ray Herron, 55, of Lake Tawakoni, will be 12 p.m.

today at Rader Funeral Home Chapel of Long-view with Scott Finley officiating. Burial will be in Hallsville City Cemetery. Mr. Herron died Sunday in Dallas. Born Sept.

2, 1940, in Van Zandt County, he was a former longtime resident of Hallsville. Mr. Herron was an electrician with Norris Cylinder of Long-view and was a Baptist. Survivors include wife, Carolyn Herron of Lake Tawakoni; daughter, Sandra Sellers of Longview; sons, Jeff Herron and Larry Yates, both of Longview; brothers, LeRoy Herron of Callisburg and C.W. Herron of Midland, and three grandchildren.

Lorene Thrasher Alford HENDERSON Graveside services for Lorene Thrasher Alford, 79, of Henderson, will be 2 p.m. today at Lakewood Memorial Park with the Rev. Robert Hall officiating. Burial is under the direction of Crawford-A Crim Funeral Home. Mrs.

Alford died Sunday in Henderson. Born Sept. 19, 1916, in Electra, she was retired from International Paper Co. having worked in the accounting and personnel departments. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughter, Holli Hagler of Shreveport, La; four sons, Royce Alford Jr. of Whitehouse, Rick Alford of Rockwell, Mitch Alford of Longview and Steve Alford of Henderson; two sisters, Todi Foley of Henderson and Helen Neery of Lake Cherokee; two brothers, Jack Thrasher of Henderson and Jimmy Thrasher of Baton Rouge, and 11 grandchildren. Bertha D.Allen LINDALE Graveside services for Bertha D. Allen, 96, of Corpus Christi, will be 2 p.m. today at Dover Cemetery near Lindale with the Rev.

James B. Rutledge officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Caudle-Ruuedge Funeral Directors. Mrs. Allen died Friday in Corpus Christi.

Born Feb. 16, 1900, in Cullman, she was a retired school teacher having taught for 42 years. From 1940-1950, she served as superintendent of the Gregg County school system. She was a member of Corpus Christi First Baptist Church and Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include daughter, Mary Battles of Corpus Christi; four sisters, Vada Harrison, Lola Ward and Dorothy Sauls, all of Tyler, and Geneva Idom of Gladewater, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Michael David Arden KILGORE Services for Michael David Arden, 42, of Henderson, will be 2 p.m. today at Rader Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Frank A. Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery in Joinerville.

He died Sunday in Henderson. Born Aug. 28, 1953, in Henderson, Mr. Arden had lived most of his life in the Henderson area and was a cosmetology teacher. He was preceded in death by his father, Malcolm Luther "M.L." Arden.

Survivors include lifelong friend, Doug Copland of Henderson; mother, Billie Jean Arden of Kilgore; sister, Lori Rosas of Kilgore; three brothers, Lynn and Kevin Arden, both of Kilgore and Terry Arden of Hawkins, several nieces and nephews, one great-niece and one great-nephew. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society. EdmondBoyd Services for Edmond Boyd of Long-view will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Jerusalem Baptist Church with the Revs. W.W.

Cotton and J.H. Creal Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hallsville under the direction of Citizens Funeral Home. Mr.

Boyd died Friday at a local nursing home. Born in Hallsville, he was a gardener and a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church in Longview. Once again, together, they helped found the East Texas Treatment Center in Kilgore. The race of life was great, but it was not without its obstacles and hurdles.

She learned to jump high and maneuver herself around obstacles. Her family, friends and church friends sustained her during the heat of the race. How she bved these people! On Feb. 18, 1996, she approached her tast hurdle. This one was a little too high for her to jump above, so God guided and helped her to the other side.

She was a member of the Thelma Magan Sunday School Class, the Garden Study Club, the Aaron Burleson Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Ladies Golf Association of Pinecrest Country Club and former member of the Junior League of Kingsport, Tenn. She was preceded in death by one of the team players in 1 940, and her cocaptain in 1 991 Remaining bved ones and teammates include Raymond and Lola Rice of Nedertand, Pam and Ned Smith of Longview and Donna Rice of Lufkin. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren are Ron and Stacy Rice and children, Aaron Sydney, Ivey and Ren-zey, Ken and Leto Rice and son, Radmon; Ray Rice and children, Micah, Sarah, Rachel and Zachary; Robin and Larry Stephenson; Rebecca and Cris Stump and daughters, Maggie and Kylie; Greg Smith; Andrew and Kathleen Smith and daughter, Courtney; Stephen Smith and Adam Smith. A memorial service with Pastors Bill Cunningham, David Williamson and Jon Stouffer will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 1 1 a.m.
