Robert (Bob) Baechle, age 68, beloved husband of 43 years to Betty; devoted Dad to Sheri (Michael) Billing, Rob (Kristi) Baechle, Darby (Richard) Zwagerman; fond grandfather of Ali and Darby. Bob passed away on July 25, 2008. A graduate of Indiana University, a member of Sigma Chi, IU gymnastic team and raced in the Little 500. He was a Lieutenant in the US Army. He was a retired partner of Arthur Andersen Company.

He was active in the Wheaton Kiwanis Club in Illinois, Lee County Genealogical Society and Pelican Nest Golf Club Board, in Florida. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in memory of G. Robert Baechle can be made to the Mayo Clinic Multiple System Atrophy Research Program. JEAN LAWSON BAUGHMAN JUNE 8, 2008 Jean Lawson Baughman died 1 Saturday evening June 8, 2008 in Fort Myers. Born on July 29, 1915, in Rochester, Pennsylvania, Jean graduated from Rochester Senior High School in 1933 where she was Valedictorian of her class.

She the University of Pittsburgh and was honored for her activities as a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, Mortar Board, President of Pan-Hellenic Council and Senior Mentor. She graduated in 1937 with her Bachelors Degree in German and one year later earned her Masters Degree also from the University of Pittsburgh. After marrying her college sweetheart, Bob Baughman, in 1941, they soon settled in the Chicago area. Jean was a dedicated partner to her husband who spent most of his career as a sales executive in the paper business. Bob Baughman died in 2006.

Surviving Jean are her two sons, Robert and Joseph, five grandchildren and her sisterin-law Marian Monroe. After her their retirement in 1977, Jean and Bob moved to Fort Myers. Jean was active in the community, in particular, with the Royal Palm Yacht Club, Whiskey Creek Garden Club and several bridge clubs. Jean will be remembered a loving wife, generous mother and a good friend to many over her years in Chicago and Fort Myers. In particular, Jean would like to thank the staff of Barkley Place for making her final years SO comfortable and peaceful.

Private services were held St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Fort Myers. Donations in her honor should be made to Barkley Place or your favorite charity. RICHARD A. DALY SR.

JULY 27, 2008 Richard A. Daly, 84, of Cape Coral passed away on July 27, 2008. He was a retired Assistant Fire Chief from the City of New Brunswick, New Jersey and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his wife, Mary Daly of Cape Coral; children, Daly of Cape Corals, NV, Diane Richard Willard Daly of Las Jr.

of Red Bank, NJ, James Daly of New Port Richey, FL and Kathy, Hicks of grandchildren Lehigh and Acres, 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 31, 2008 from 5- Coral Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 1, 2008 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. GAMSE JULY 27, 2008 Dr. Norman L. Gamse Fort Myers passed away Sunday, July 27, 2008. Norman Gamse was born in 1934 in St. Augustine, FL and grew up in Miami.

A graduate of John Hopkins Medical School, Dr. Gamse was an Air Force Veteran and an Internist who practiced medicine in Fort Myers from 1970 and retired in 2000. Norman is remembered as a respected member of the medical community. His wife Bene Gamse passed away December 3, 2005. He is survived by his brother Beryl Gamse of Houston, TX, his children Celeste Gamse-Bernosky, Pamela Holzman, Sheri Weinlauf, Jack Ehleiter, Jerry Ehleiter and Mahmood Hassan, his grandchildren Gina Powers, Jerry Mace, Rebecca Weinlauf, Sydney Mace, Joel Weinlauf, Robyn Weinlauf and Rivka Gamse-Bernosky, his great-grandchildren Tre Powers and Sierra Powers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his name to Hope Hospice of Fort Myers. JOHN "JACK" EDWARD HENZLER FEB. 14, 1934 JULY 2 25, 2008 Jack was born in Toledo, Ohio. He attended school at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Woodward High School and The University of Toledo.

He loved sports, his favorites being basketball, softball, baseball and football. He played basketball with some of his best friends for St. Mary's, Woodward High and The Catholic Youth Organization (CYO). Thru his years he loved to follow sports and even took up a new sport in retirement Keno and At the age of 17, (his mother signed for him) Jack joined The United States Navy serving 4 years in the Korean War receiving recognition for National Defense, China Service, Korean Service and United Nations Service. His ship, The USS Helena CA-75 docked out of San Francisco Bay.

President Dwight D. Eisenhower, then a General, sailed aboard his ship. He spent 3 years in Japan. Jack served in the U.S. Naval Reserve until September 10, 1959 at which time he received an Honorable Discharge from the United States Navy.

Returning home, Jack attended, The graduating Toledo from Police the Seventeenth Class as a Police Officer and worked for The Toledo Police Department for 23 years. Jack served as Commander and Vice-Commander of the Police Post. He retired from The Police Department with disability on December 11, 1975. Jack and his family moved to Cape Coral, Florida and joined St. Andrew Catholic Church.

Other organizations were The Police Association of Cape Coral, The Cop Shop, Fraternal Order of Police Lodge Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, The American Legion Toledo Police Post and The Police and Fire Retirees of Ohio, Inc. He is survived by his loving wife Judith of 49 years, daughters Deborah (Michael) Cupps, Pelham, Alabama and Sandra (Ray) King, Cape Coral, Florida. Grandsons, Kyle (Tania) Cupps, Ramstein, Germany USAF, Jordan Cupps, Pelham, Alabama, Raymond King, Cape Coral, Florida and a greatgrandson Jordan Cupps. Sister Geri Henzler VanderZanden, Laguna Woods, California and family. Brother Thomas (Joan) Henzler, Cape Coral, Florida and family.

The children of Bill "Rowdy" (AnnaMae) Henzler, mother-in-law Clara A. Johnson, brother-inlaw Thomas (Vicki) Johnson, Cape Coral, Florida and family, brother-in-law James (Beverly) Johnson, Perrysburg, Ohio and family. Jack precedes his parents, Carl "Cowboy" and Gertrude Henzler and brother Bill. We extend our sincerest thanks and gratitude for excellent care provided by Hospice House Nurses and PCS, (Cape Coral), and our Hope Hospice Home Care Nurse and PCS. There will, be a memorial service at St.

HURLEY JULY 27, 2008 James Hurley, 69 of Fort Myers, passed away. July 27, 2008 at Naples Community Hospital. He was born March 6, 1939 in Buffalo, NY, the son of James F. and Irene (nee Roth) Hurley. He graduated from the State University of New York, Buffalo first with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1967 and later with a Masters of Education in 1969.

He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion Post 274, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10097, the Moose Lodge and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. James was a former Bethlehem Steel Corp. employee and a long-time: General Motors Corporation employee in Buffalo, NY. He was also a licensed New York State real estate broker and agent. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Beverly (nee Paribello); his children, Thomas (Lori) Hurley, Patrick Hurley and Kelly (Scott) Schatzie; grandchildren, Zach and Ashley Hurley; brother, Thomas (Susan) Hurley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in his son, James F. Hurley, Jr. in 1980. A memorial mass will be celebrated Wednesday, July 30, 2008 af 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Light Catholic Community.

Interment will be at a later date at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cheektowago, New York. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Our Lady of Light Catholic Community, 19680 Cypress View Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33967. Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home, 992-4982. MARIE R. MAHONEY JULY Bonita Springs away Thursday, July 24, 2008 at Joanne's House at Hope Hospice surrounded by her loving family.

Marie had been a resident of Bonita Springs since 2004 coming from Mequon, WI. She was a graduate of the Girls Tech in Milwaukee. She loved traveling extensively with her family and loved to sew and grow exotic plants. Marie was a renowned baker especially at Christmas when she would personally bake over three thousand cookies for the holidays for her family and friends. On July 1, 2008, Marie's beloved husband of 65 years, Robert Mahoney passed away.

She is survived by her two children, Maureen (John) Rastetter of So. Bend, IN and Robert J. (Summer) Mahoney of Ft. Myers Beach, FL; grandson, Tom (Carrie) Rastetter and her great grandson, Colten Rastetter. Marie was one of 14 children and she is also survived by her two brothers, John Polchert and Peter Polchert and four sisters, Catherine Polchert, Barbara (Joseph) Letka, Rose (Richard) Haugan and Margaret (David) Jennings.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Magdeline Firch, Ann Carter, Eva Minx and Elizabeth Wendt and three brothers, Joseph, Frank and Stephen Polchert. Graveside services for Mrs. Mahoney will be held Tuesday, (TODAY) PM at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. She will be buried next to her beloved husband. The family requests that any memorial contributions be directed to Joanne's House at Hope Hospice 27200 Imperial Bonita Springs, FL 34135 for their exceptional care given to a Marie in her last days.

Daniel Mahoney Jr. age 73, late of Fort Myers, FL, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2008 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home with his loving family at his side. Born and raised in Joliet, living in Lockport most of his life before moving to Fort Myers, FL. Retired from J. E.

Baker Co. after 15 years of service. Dan was an avid golfer, loved to play tennis and fish, but most importantly he loved his family which he put first and foremost before anything else. Preceded in death by his parents, Clair Daniel Sr. and Isabelle (Bressler) Gersich, and two Survived by his loving wife Darlene "Deannie" (Fracaro), his children Michael (Sandra), Lore (Joe Castro, fiance) Focosi, Jeffrey (Maureen Bennington, fiance), and Timothy (Kimberly), seven grandchildren, five great-grandsons, two brothers, four sisters and several nieces and nephews also survive.

request there will be no formal services. RUBY M. WHIDDEN JULY 27, 2008 Ruby M. Whidden, 90, born November 14, 1917 in Empire, Georgia, went home to the Lord on July 27, 2008. Ruby was the youngest daughter of Charlie and Martha (Graham) Davis.

She is predeceased by her parents, four sisters, her husband, Paul Whidden and her son, Dennis R. Whidden. Her surviving children are daughter Belle Perry, Palatka, and sons Alvery H. Whidden, North Fort Myers, Kirby L. Whidden, Fort Myers, and David Whidden, Jacksonville.

She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandson. She moved from Georgia to Florida in 1937 and lived in many different cities until settling in Lee County. She retired at the age of 80 from the Lee County School Board as a lunchroom worker for Tanglewood Elementary in 1998; and had lived in a nursing home in Jacksonville since March 2003. Visitation and funeral services will be Thursday, July 31, 2008, 10 am at Farley Memorial Funeral Home in Lehigh Acres, with Reverend Jerome Sears officiating. Interment will follow at the Fort Denaud Cemetery.
