The marriage of Miss Elinor Metthea Yepsen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Viggo L. Yepsen of Scarsdale, formerly of Plainfield, to John Randolph Robie, son of Mr. and Mrs.

George R. Robie of Port Chester, N. took place Saturday afternoon in the Protestant Episcopal Church of Saint James the Less. The Rev. J.

Harry Price officiated. A reception was held at the Women's 4 Clinton Burke of 1154 Evergreen Ave. and the-late Mr. Burke, to Reed Bertolette of Middlebury, son of Mr. and Mrs.

Norman in UiJ 1 I Boone Bertolette of West Hartford, Dunn-Shank Nuptials Held Morristowii Miss Jeanne Shank, daughter of Mrs. Louis Bell Shank of Two Glen was married Saturday to James Edward Dunn, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Clifford Dunn of 411 Watchung North Plainfield.

The 6 p.m.- ceremony was performed by the Rev. Cornelius P. Trowbridge in St. Peter's Church. A reception followed at the Shank home.

The bride also named as honorary bridesmaids, Miss Elizabeth C. Strong of Plainfield and Mrs. William P. Munger of Morristown, cousins of the bride; and the Misses Nancy H. Berg of Washington, Joan L.

Bissey and Gwendolyn Burke, daughter of Mrs. Charles took place Saturday in Hunt, both of Ney York; Miss Joy Rushmore of Plainfield and Mrs. Barney Rosset of New York. The maid of honor wore a ballet gown of gold faille and carried rust chrysanthemums with matching flowers in her hair. The matron of honor wore a similar gown in green faille and carried gold chrysanthemums with matching flowers in her hair.

The flower girls wore green organdy dresses and carried old fashioned bouquets of chrysanthiums with headbands to match. Best Man Edward C. Smith of St Albans, Vt. was best man. Ushers wer his brother, Robert B.

Bertolette was graduated from the Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, N. Y. and attended Smith College. She is a member of the Junior League of "Plain-field. Mr.

Bertolette is an alumnus of Yale University, where he was a member of Vernon Hall. He is also a member of the Hartford Golf Club and the Hartford Bachelors Club and is associated with" the Scovill Manufacturing Company of Waterbury, Conn. and Mrs. Coleman Annie Royal Becomes Bride Miss Annie Royal, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Royal of Amelia, and Donald Coleman, son of Mrs. Mary Ellen Coleman of Charlotte, and the late Walter E.

Coleman, were married Saturday in Shiloh Baptist Church by the Rev. Ross Brent. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of satin with fitted bodice and a full train. Her double-tier illusion fingertip veil was attached to a satin and tulle bonnet trimmed with orange blossoms. She carried white button chrysanthemums and pink rosebuds.

The bride's sister, Miss Sally Royal, was maid of honor. She wore a gown of rose nylon tulle with satin anS tulle cape and matching mitts, and a matching floral headpiece. She carried pink gladioli. Miss Odell Royal and Miss Helen Royal were bridesmaids. They wore matching gowns in blue1 and carried yellow gladioli.

Carolyn Grimes was flower girl. Matthew Cardon was best' man. Jack Jones and Frederick Carter were ushers. Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the Shady Rest Country Club. The couple is on a wedding trip to Canada.

For 'traveling, the bride wore a gray suit with red accessories. Upon their return, they will reside at 820 Richmond St. The bride was feted at showers given by Mrs. Annie Lee Barber of W. Fourth St.

and Mrs. Jessie Roye of Somerville, and the Industrial Club of the Shiloh Baptist Church. Gets 'Y' Post In Illinois Miss Patricia Wenzel, formerly of Plainfield, has been appointed teenage program director of the Waukegan, 111., YWCA. A graduate of the University of, Illinois last June, Miss Wenzel has a BA degree in sociology. While at the university, the new director made a name for herself in YWCA She was vice-president of the University YWCA and in her last year was chosen one of the 100 outstanding seniors to attend the "100 banquet." Miss Wenzel's duties will include planning and directing activities for more than 400 Y-Teen girls in the program.

Hadassah to See Dramatic Group Play Hadassah will meet tomorrow at 8 p.m. in the Jewish Community Center. A playlet, "New Year for' Hadassah," will be presented by the Dramatic Group. Mrs. Sobelj Frank will direct and players will, be Mrs.

She carried a cascade of yellow spider chrysanthemums.

Miss Barbara Brotman, the bride's sister, was maid of honor. She wore a gown of apricot nylon net over taffeta with embroidered -lace insets, a lace edged illusion bertha and a bouffant skirt She carried a cascade of lavender spider chrysanthemums. Jere Oren of Brookline, was best man. Jay Mirkus served as usher. To Live in New York After a wedding trip' to Quebec, the couple will reside at 158-18 Riverside New York.

The bride is a graduate of Plain-field schools and Pace College in New York. Mr. Alexander is a graduate of Plainfield High School and received his BA from Lafayette College and his MS from Columbia University. He is a member of Pi Lambda -Phi and Beta Gamma fraternities and is a merchandising executive with Macy's in New York. Couple Honored On Anniversary Mr.

and Mrs. Harold Charles Mullin of 1209 W. Fifth St. were feted yesterday at a surprise cocktail party and buffet dinner in their home in honor of their 25th wedding anniversary. Hosts were their son, David, ana son-in-law and daughter, Mr.

and Mrs. James D. O'Keeffe. relatives and close friends attended. The touple was married Sept.

School and was graduated from Bradford Junior College in Bradford, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan. Her husband attended the Carnegie-Institute of the University of Colorado, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in architectural engineering from the University of Oklahoma.

He served with the Marine Corps during World War 2, and is associated with the architectural firm of Sherwood, Mills and Smith in Stamford, Conn. Will Awards In Dahlia Show Newark Peter Madsen of South Plainfield won the arrangements competition and Harry Frank of Far Hills placed third in the Grand Sweepstakes behind Luther B. John Musson" of West Orange won the top sweepstakes prize with three first place prizes the Grand Sweepstakes for all exhibits, the Class AA Court of Honor compe tition, and the Essex County Park Commission Award for the greatest number of show-wide points earned by a county resident. Bridesmaids were Miss Margerie Dyer of Sandston, and Miss Irene Munson of Arling ton, who wore gowns like that of the niaid of honor. Robert Westbrook of Charlotte, N. was best man.

Ushers were Richard Kennette, Jack Kennette, William Westbrook and James Houghton. The wedding music was played by Mrs. Charlotte Garden. Following the wedding, a garden reception was held at the bride's home. The couple then left on a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, in the Smoky Mountains.

For traveling, the bride wore a char coal grey shantung suit. The couple will reside at 168 Gundry Falls Church, Va. Serves in Army Mrs. Davis is a graduate of Madi son College, Harrisonburg, and is a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority. Her husband is a graduate of Presbyterian College, Clinton, and is a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.

He is serving' with the U.S. Army. Guests were present at the wed ding from Charlotte, N. Knox ville, Tenn. and Ridley Park, Pa.

Becomes Engaged To Plainfielder Vallejo, Calif. The engagement of Miss Frances M. Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John L.

Smith of Vallejo, and James Whitehead Thompson of 158 Maple North Plainfield, N. was an nounced here today. Miss Smith, a graduate of the St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing at San Francisco, Miss Frances M. Hmith has betn active in little theater productions in the San Francisco Bay area and for two summers was with Francis Ballard's "Patchwork Players" at Roanoke, Va.

Mr. Thompson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph, E. Thompson of North Plainfield received a bachelor of science degree from Roanoke College, Salem, in 1949, and is a third-year student at the Yale Graduate School of Drama.

Mr. Thompson, who is a mem ber of the Pi Kappa Phi and Alpha Psi Omega fraternities, spent two years with the U. S. Army and part of his service was with the Army ol Occupation in Japan. His father is chief accounting officer of th Central Railroad Company of New Jersey and a vicepresident of the Central Railroad Company of Pennsylvania.
