Hulen Warren officiating. Burial will be in Columbia Hill Cemetery under direction of Riser Son. Mrs. Meredith, 85, of Columdied Sunday in Citizens Medical Center. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

She was also a retired employee of the Carroll Clinic where she was employed for over 36 years. Survivors include one daughter, Sue Childers of Columbia; three sisters, Meddie W. Mackey of Denton, Texas, Opal W. Hindmon of Oakdale, and Thelma W. Kimball of Anapolis, and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Hoot Reitzell, Mack Spillers, Charles Page, Lavelle Dollar, Clay Manly, Buddy Bailes and Jeff Bailes. Otis Perkins Otis Perkins of Pitkin died Saturday in a San Antonio Texas Hospital. Arrangements will be announced by Rush, Oakdale. W.F. Terrell Services for W.F.

Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery under direction of Hixson Alexandria. Terrell, 63, of Elmer died at 2:10 p.m. Saturday in St. Frances Cabrini Hospital. A native of Elmer, he was a radiological technologist at St.

Frances Cabrini Hospital and had also worked at Baptist Hospital and Huey P. Long Memorial Hosital. He was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church, of Fellowship Lodge 217 Hineston and of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1736. He was a Rapides Parish Sheriff Reserves member for 20 years. Survivors include a son, Larry W.

Terrell of Dry Prong; two brothers, Grant Terrell and George B. Terrell, both of Elmer; five sisters, Opal Vanderlick, Willie Fuller and Elma Hammond, all of Alexandria, Millie Barnidge and Bertie Lee, both of Elmer; two grandchildren. Visitation will be at the funeral home until 11 a.m. today and at the church from 1 p.m. until time of services.

Police two early Alexandria police are investigating two rapes reported early Sunday. No arrests have been made in either case. One woman, who is in her 20s, reported that a man kidnapped her at gunpoint from Fool's Gold around midnight Saturday and drove her in a truck to an area of Olive Street where he allegedly raped her. The victim said the man is white and has a moustache. Survivors include one son, Jimmy Earl Canerday of Hessmer; one daughter, Jackie Stanfill of Winnfield; one sister, Rose Thompson of Baton Rouge; and five grandchildren.

Sunday. In the other case, a woman who is also in her 20s told police that she was raped on Turner Street early Sunday. The woman said a tall black male with a beard grabbed her as she was walking home. She said the man pulled her to an area along Turner Street and began choking her and raping her, according to police reports. The incident was reported around 7 a.m.

The truck is yellow with blue and red stripes down each side. It has the Louisiana license number B238200 on it. The truck is valued at approximately $75,000, the sheriff's spokesman said. physician NEW ORLEANS Boutte, (AP) -Dr. Thelma Coffey Orleans' first black woman physician, died Friday. She was 79. Mrs. Boutte grew up in New Orleans, where she graduated in 1927 from Xavier Preparatory High School.

She attended a small college in Chicago, and earned her medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, in 1934. After a residency at Provident Hospital in Chicago, Mrs. Boutte returned to New Orleans and practiced as an obstetrician and gynecologist. She remained active at FlintGoodridge, where she helped run a teaching clinic that brought in some of the best doctors in the country to help train hospital staff.
