A6 OBITUARIES THURSDAY, AUGUST 21, 2014 TtiE Magee Courier fimrij fefos Gavin Harrison Thomas David Jones Mendenhall Thomas David Jones, 71, of Mendenhall died Saturday, August 16, 2014, at his residence in Mendenhall. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at First Baptist Church of Mendenhall. Burial was in Mendenhall City Cemetery. Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, August 1 8, 2014, at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mendenhall, which was in charge of arrangements.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Cecil Jones and Bessie Stewart Jones; brother-in-law, Ellis Monk; and sister-in-law, Debbie Monk. Survivors include his wife, Frankie Monk Jones, Mendenhall; sons, David Anthony Jones (Sheila) and Daniel C. Jones (Linda), both of Mendenhall; granddaughters, Kecia Jones and Brooke Jones; sisters, Pat White (Gary) and Carol Mixon, both of Pelahatchie, Betty Eddins (Jack) of Theodore, brothers-in-law, Benny Monk (Ann), William Monk, Joe Monk (Kathy); sister-in-law, Betty Monk; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Mike Monk, Biff Monk, Ladd Monk, Loren Monk, Landon Monk, Layton Monk and Caleb Monk. Mansel Ray 'Buddy' Hill Oak Grove Farmer's Home Administration.

Prior to beginning his teaching career he worked at the Magee Co-op. He supported youth and served as coach with Dizzy Dean Baseball for the 15-18 year old boy's baseball team, coaching for 22 years. During his 22 years coaching, his teams went to the World Series multiple times, winning one World Series. He loved golf and once got a hole-in-one at Vanhook Golf Course. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thurman Odie and Lottie Perry Hill; one brother, Willie D.

Hill; and two sisters, Bonnie Jean Franklin and Elizabeth Hughes. He is survived by his wife, Jackie Nell Lucky Hill of Oak Grove; his two sons, Jackie Ray "Chip" (Pamela Kay) Hill and Jeffery Walker (Darlene Mathis) Hill, both of Oak Grove; and a daughter, Jerri VaNell Hill (Mark) Thompson of Oak Grove; grandchildren, Kelly (Colby) Heathcock, Katelyn (Paul) Stafford, Karley Hill, Jessica Dianne Hill, Emily Nicole Hill, Kaleb Lee Thompson, Joshua Mark (Emily) Thompson, Hannah Rebekah Thompson, Noah Hill Thompson, Sarah Christian Thompson, and Naomi Grace Thompson; great-grandchildren, Ayden Stafford, Hadleigh Stafford, and Gracie Heathcock; one brother, Odell Hill of Gautier, and three sisters, Ruth Townsend of Canton, Sue Manning Long of Biloxi, and Helen Perry of Maylene, Ala. Visitation was held Tuesday, August 19, 2014, from 5-9 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Hatties-burg. Hilda Valentine Sullivan Magee Hilda Valentine Sullivan, 90, of Magee died Sunday, August 1 7, 2014, at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Magee.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee with burial in Sharon Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, August 18, at Colonial Chapel in Magee, which handled arrangements. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Sullivan; son, Larry Sullivan; parents, R.T.Valentine and Mary King Valentine Survivors include a niece, Judy Lott (Jimmy) of Magee; a great-niece, Jenna Lott; and a great-nephew, Josh Lott. Mary Catherine Eubanks Magee Mary Catherine Eubanks, 79, passed away Monday, August 1 1, 2014, at her residence.

She was born on January 7, 1 9 3 5 to Preston and Velma Bishop Sullivan. Mary is survived by her husband of 64 years, Billy Ray Eubanks; sons, Mike Eubanks (Clemmie), Delmas "Moose" Eubanks (Brenda), Jeff Eubanks (Rhonda), Delton Eubanks (Deborah); daughters, Billie Joyce Sullivan (Dempsey), Peggy Taylor (Mike); sister, Myr-tis Hobbs; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Sullivan and Ray Sullivan; two sisters, Geneva Sullivan and Shirley Marsh. Visitation was Wednesday, August 13, from 5-8 p.m. at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee.

Services were at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 14, in the Tutor Funeral Home Chapel in Magee, with Bro. Tommy D. Walker and Bro. Jim Taylor officiating.

McLendon, 84, of Mendenhall died Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at Lake View Assisted Living Home in Magee. Funeral services were held at 1 1 a.m., on Thursday, August 14, 2014, at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mendenhall.

Burial was in Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation was held from 8 a.m. until service time at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mendenhall. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Grantham (deceased 1964), Wesley McLendon; parents, Jim Highlander and Beulah Mae Brown; brothers, James Highlander and Ray Highlander; sisters, Annie Powell and Nannie M. Lucas.

Survivors include two daughters, Lillie White (Will) of Puckett and Felica Little (Karrol) of Mize; grandchildren, Bill White, Angie Calhoun, Kim Breeden, Mandy Craft, Jason Little; great-grandchildren, Laney Little, Gillian and Gavin Harrison, Tyler Breeden, Haley Little, Zach White, Austin Calhoun, Brittany White, Raymond Troth; a sister, Eunice Luctrell. Pallbearers were Karrol Little, Jason Little, Charlie Craft, Bill White, Zach White and Austin Calhoun Honorary pallbearers were Tyler Breeden and Mansel Ray "Buddy" Hill, 77, of Oak Grove, died Sunday, August 1 7, 2014, at Forrest General Hospital. Services were held on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at Kensington Woods Church of Christ with graveside services at 3 p.m. at Womack Cemetery in Magee.

Mr. Hill was a member of Kensington Woods Church of Christ and attended Vancleave Church of Christ in Gautier, Miss, as well. He was an educator and taught for four years at Edinburg High School in Neshoba County before changing careers to become a supervisor for the What 's happening to the Universal family: B.R.'S VIEWS B.R.
