Youth football clinic The Second Annual Louisiana Sports Medicine Center's Youth Football Clinic will be held at Bolton High School's football field on Saturday, August 26. Registration is from 8 to 9 a.m. and the clinic will run from 9 to 11 a.m. Youth participants must be between 6-13 years old. There is a $5 fee for the clinic.

This fee will be waived for AAA football league players. For more information, call 473-4346. City pitching machine league The Alexandria City league will start the last week of September. All teams must have full uniforms and provide their own balls. All games will be played at Bringhurst Field.

Entry is $100 and all proceeds will go to Muscular Dystrophy. Prizes will be awarded to the top three men's and women's teams. Deadline to enter is Wednesday, August 30 at 6 p.m. The tournament is double elimination, slow-pitch, non-stop marathon action from the first game until the end. Only the first 18 teams in each division will be entered.
