Yale's varsity boat, which endured an hour delay because of high winds that created choppy water, finished the 4-mile course in 20 minutes, 1.9 seconds.

Harvard's boat crossed the finish line in 20:08.5. The Crimson still lead the series 79-52. "This is something beyond comprehension," said Yale captain Jon Camp, the great-great-great grandson of Walter Camp, creator of the all-America college football team. Making things better for Yale was a 33-second win by the freshmen in the 2-mile race. Yale finished in 10:33, while Harvard finished in 1 1 :06.

In winning the first state baseball championship in school history, the Eagles (26-3) snapped Bloomfield's 1 7-game winning streak. Darren Fenster led off the top of the fourth with an infield single and went to third on an errant pickoff throw.
