Surviving besides the parents are a brother, James Michael; a sister, Gena Lee; and grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Edward Gierman of Lansing, and Mr. and Mrs. Harry King of Hollywood, Fla.

Services will be Thursday at 9 a.m. in the Palmer-Bush Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Elva M.

Teed Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Horne- Vinson Funeral Home, Jackson, for Mrs. Elva M. Teed, 67, of 1137 N. High Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens here.

Mrs. Teed died Monday at a Jackson hospital. She is survived by two and a brother. Metta Cook Mrs. Metta Cook, 75, former Lansing resident, died Monday in Flint, a she moved 15 years ago.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Cora Armour of Lansing, and Mrs. Hiatt Charlotte; and 'a brother, Marshall Conklin, of Englewood, Calif. Services will Gorsline Friday at 1 p.m. in the Funeral Home with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.

Margaret Comer Mrs. Margaret Comer, 92, 508 Michigan Eaton Rapids, died Tuesday morning in an Eaton Rapids nursing home. She is survived by a son, Durward Comer of Lansing and a daughter, Miss Hazel Comer of Hope; two grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Mates of California, and Mrs. Eva Drerup of Coldwater.

Services will be Thursday at 2 in the Jessen Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Eaton Rapids. Darrel E. McMillen Darrel E. McMillen, 54, of 512 E.

Shiawassee died Tuesday at a local hospital. Born in Mt. Pleasant, Mr. McMillen had been a resident Lansing 11 years. He was a veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife, Myrtie; a sister, Mrs. Jean Randall Anaheim, a brother, Harold of Lansing; five ters, Mrs. Doris Bigelow of Fenton, Mrs. Wanda Pingle, Mrs. Phyllis Truax, and Mrs.

Mildred Pingle all of Lapeer, and Mrs. Shirley Foster of Lansing; five stepsons, Melvin Marr of Marion, William and Ronald of Lansing, Norman of Columbiaville, and Wilfred of Clare. Services will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the Gorsline-Runciman Funeral Home with burial Stockbridge Cemetery, Stockbridge. Belle Lundy MASON Mrs.

Belle Lundy, 81, of 324 E. Sycamore died today at a local hospital. Mrs. Lundy, a lifelong resident of Mason, is survived by four grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m.

Friday at the Jewett Funeral Home, with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Bertha Lemke 56, of 602 W. Bellevue died LES Bertha Lemke, Tuesday night at a Mason Hospital. She was a member of the Flower Memorial Church. Mrs.

Lemke is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Arleta Reynolds of Eaton Rapids Mrs. Della Getter of Mason, and five grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Luecht Funeral Home, with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Lawrence P. Smith CHARLOTTE Lawrence P. Smith, 80, a retired Carmel Township farmer, died of a heart attack Tuesday at Palmetto, Fla. He was a lifelong Charlotte area resident and was a member of the Charlotte Grange. Surviving are his wife, Mable; a daughter, Mrs.

Katheryn Klaiss of Carmel Township; a son, Raymond of Lansing; and seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The body is at the Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte. Roger L. Benjamin MIDLAND Roger L. min, 88, of 306 Carpenter a former East Lansing resident, died Tuesday in the Isabella County medical care facility.

Mr. Benjamin lived in East Lansing from 1927 to 1940 when he moved to Brighton. For the past four years he has been living here with his daughter, Mrs. Helen Bullock. He is also survived grandsons.

At least one body was recovered from the smoldering debris. Killed in the pre-dawn blaze were Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Warren their three children and his mother. Two of the were identified as and children, Gerald 16.

(AP) William Sutphin, who was one of America's four surviving veterans of the Indian wars, was to be buried here today. He died Monday at the age of 93. Sutphin joined the Army in 1894 at the age of 21 and set out for the Arizona, Territory. Assigned the 24th Infantry, Sutphin was a member of an allNegro company directed to halt a series of Indian border near Ft. Huachuca.

He spent three years with the Army, marching 2 to 30 miles daily in the desert for a salary of $13 a month and three meals a day. After leaving the Army, Sutphin came to South Boston. He is survived by his wife, 7 children, 39 grandchildren and 20 great- grandchildren. Clare Store's Founder Dies CLARE (UPI) William H. Bicknell, a long-time businessman, died Tuesday evening at his home.

He was 87. Bicknell, the founder of the Bicknell department store, also was a former director of the Motor Hotel and the Citizens' Bank and Trust Co. was a lifetime resident of Clare. Funeral services were scheduled for Thursday. He was survived by two sons, a daughter, 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Frank Genaro NEW YORK (UPI) -Frankie Ge nar a form er world flyweight and Olympic boxing champion, died Tuesday in Polyclinic Hospital following a long illness. Genaro, 65, won the American title from Pancho Villa of the Philippines in 1923 and took the world crown with a decision over Frenchy Belanger in 1929. He won 83 of 129 pro fights. (AP) A brother and two sisters will marry two brothers and a in a triple ceremony Saturday. John Carroll, 27, plans to marry Mary McNally, 16. John H. Behrens OVID-John H. Behrens, 61, 233 E. First died early today Owosso Memorial Hospital, following a heart attack. A former local grocer, he came here from Germany 1924.

He was a member of OwosSO 0 Lutheran Church. Ovid businesses will close Sat-urday from 1 to 3 p.m. for the funeral, which will be at 1:30 p.m. at the Houghton Funeral Home, with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Surviving is his wife, Martha; three sons, Ernest of Allen Park, Hans of Tulare, and Erwin of Greenville, three daughters, Miss Kathryn Behrens of Ovid, Miss Marcia Ann Behrens of Flint and Mrs.

Betty Heimberger, Kalamazoo; brother, Ernest of Arizona; four sisters in Germany; five stepsons, Robert Maier of Vassar, Ralph J. Maier Williamsville, N. Frederick Maier of Carmichael, James Maier Clarence, N. and Richard Maier of Boulder Dam, one stepdaughter, Mrs. Alice Doss, Ripon, five grandchildren and 16 greatgrandchildren.

Maude M. Howard ALMA-Mrs. Maude M. Howard, 81, of Roscommon, a former Alma resident, died Tuesday at a local hospital. Mrs.

Howard, a native of Black River, is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Agnes Romine of Roscommon, Mrs. Madlyn Schubert of Riverdale and Jane Richardson of St. Louis: one son, Lewis of Alma; half-sister, Mrs. William Klein of California, nine grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Carter Funeral Home, St. Louis. Burial will be in Richland Cemetery near Vestaburg. Charles Lader ST.

LOUIS Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in Carter Funeral Home for Charles Lader, 70, of 314 North St. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Mr. Lader died Monday.

He was a native of Czechoslovakia and came to this country in 1916. He was a retired employe of the Lincoln-Mercury Ford Division in Detroit. He is survived by a son. Charles Jr. of Owosso, four grandchildren; and two sisters and a brother, all of Czechoslovakia.

A. Jacobsohn SEATTLE, Wash. Boris A. Jacobsohn, UniLAP, versity of Washington physics professor and internationally known authority on theoretical physics, died of a heart while skiing Tuesday at Crystal Mountain southwestern Washington. Jacobsohn helped develop the atomic bomb while he was a research scientist at Columbia University.

He was born in New York City. Euclid M. V. Watts HOUSTON. Tex.

(AP)-Euclid M.V. Watts, 51, vice president of exploration and production for the Houston division of the Mobil Oil was found fatally shot in his office Tuesday. Mobil officials, said, Watts had been in was born in Tennessee and joined the oil company in 1936. Mary Newcomb DORCHESTER, England (AP)-Mary Newcomb, 73, for many years a leading actress in the American and English theater, died Monday. Miss Newcomb, who made her New York debut in 1918, was born in North Adams, Mass.

Charles T. Erickson CLAREMONT, Calif. (AP)-Charles Telford Erickson, 99, who helped Albania form its first independent government in alco-1912, died Monday. He came to the United States in 1934. W.

M. Thompson CHICAGO (AP)-William McLean Thompson, 62, editor of Publishers Newspaper Syndicate, a division of Field Enterprises, died Tuesday. Thompson had worked for the Cincinnati Enquirer and the New York Herald Tribune before joining the Chicago Sun-Times syndicate in 1948. He was born in Memphis, Tenn. Ernest W.

Burgess CHICAGO (AP)-Ernest Burgess, 80, professor emeritus of sociology at the University of Chicago and former president of the American Sociological Society, died Tuesday after a long illness. Burgess had taught at Toledo University, the University of and Ohio State University before joining the Chicago faculty in 1917.
