Terral Lowe officiated. Mrs. Home, a native of Saltillo, Texas and a resident of Springhill for 49 years, passed away Thursday, March 14, 1991 In Springhlll. She was a homemaker and a member of the Springhill United Methodist Church and a member of the Wagner Chapter 111 Order of the Eastern Star in Springhill. She was preceded in death bv her husband, Samp L.

Home on October 22, 1980. A. Medical Center in Shreveport, La. He was retired from the Kansas City Southern Railroad and was a World War II Army veteran. He was a native of Hornbeck, a former resident of Shreveport, and had lived in Burkeville for the past 17 years. He was a member of the Burkeville Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Willie Mae Cloessner of Burkeville; daughters, Melba Fletcher of New Orleans and Shirley Arnold of Shreveport; one sister, Helen Fave McMahon of Newton; eight grand-children and 10 greatgrandchildren. Services are under the direction of Stringer Griffin Funeral Home of Burkeville, Texas. PAID ANNOUNCEMENTS A rash of house burglaries plaguing Pierremont and Southern Hills since early February may be over. A Cedar Grove man, police announced Thursday, has been charged with one aggravated burglary, 10 simple burglaries and two attempted burglaries of homes in the middle to upper-income neighborhoods. The suspect James Maurice Edwards, 21, of 576 E.

83rd St. -has also been implicated in five other burglaries and two attempts in which charges are pending, police said. The string of crimes began Feb. 1. Edwards was arrested Wednesday morning by Officers A.D.

McGraw, Dwight Martin and Cpl. Steve Dodson while walking in the 800 block of Pierremont. Edwards matched the description of a suspect who'd just broken into a nearby home in the 5900 block of Dillingham and taken jewelry and a gun. The suspect left that residence after seeing a woman inside who called police. After his arrest in the Dillingham case, an investigation initiated by Sgts.

Horace J. McKinley, Jr. SHREVEPORT, LA Services for Mr. Horace J. McKinley, 73, will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 16, 1991 at Broadmoor United Methodist Church.

Mr. McKinley died Wednesday, March 13, 1991 at HCA Highland Hospital in Shreveport following a brief illness. He was born in Austin, Texas and had been a resident of Shreveport for 60 years.

Mr. McKinley was a retired Regional Agency Manager for Jefferson Pilot Life I nsurance Co. He was a past member of the Official Board of Broadmoor United Methodist Church. He served in the early service as usher and greeter. He was a member of the Men's Fellowship Bible Class.

He was a member of the Broadmoor Masonic Lodge 432 Scottish Rite, Shreveport Consistory, El Karubah Shrine, Broadmoor Order of the Eastern Star 233 and a veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace J. McKinley, Sr. and Fannie G. McKinley; and a sister, Lillian M.

Dupuy. He is survived by his wife, Ethel Hudson McKinley of Shreveport; one son and daughter-in-law, Deane A. McKinley and Toni of Greenville, S.C.; one daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn M. and Kenneth R. Prim, Sr.

of Bossier City, one sister and brother-in-law, Mary M. and Fenner Baucum of Springfield, one brother and sister-in-law, L.A. Miller Frank Teresa SHREVEPORT, LA Graveside services for Miller Frank Teresa, 99, will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, March 15, 1991 at Forest Park West Cemetery under the direction of Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. William C. Graff, associate rector at St. James Episcopal Church.

Mr. Teresa died Wednesday, March 13, 1991 at Overton Brooks V.A. Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama and had been a lifelong resident of Shreveport. Mr.

Teresa was a barber for 35 years, a Catholic and a member of the Barbers Local Union, Lowe McFarland Post 14. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sedonia; son, Miller Frank Teresa, Jr. and grandson, Wayne Teresa. Survivors include one daughter, Betty Graff of Shreveport; five grandchildren. Donna Stewart, Carlette Banks, Carroll Graff, Gayle Goodyear and Charlotte Pickle; five great-grandchildren, Angela, Jayme, Keith, Bryan and Christy; and one great-greatgrandchild, Cassie.

Mrs. Idamae Cox Otis SHREVEPORT, LA Mrs. Idamae Cox Otis, 80, died at Schumpert Medical Center on Thursday, March 14, 1991 after a short illness. Visitation will be held at Osborn Funeral Home at 3631 Southern Friday, March 15, 1991 from 4 to 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, at Osborn Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Dr. John B. Rogers, assisted bv Rev. Stanford Parnell of First Presbyterian Church of which she was a member.

Burial will follow at Forest Park Cemetery. Mrs. Otis was a native of Gilliam and a resident of Shreveport for 13 years. He confessed Christ at the age of 10 at the Mt. Pleasant B.C. under the leadership of Bro. Alton Cowtharn where he served faithfully until his death. He was married to Darlene Samuels April 23, 1983.

He graduated from Captain Shreve High School and attended L.S.U.-Baton Rouge. He also graduated from Ryan's School of Finance and Insurance of Chicago, Illinois. He was employed by Champion Ford. Mr. Robinson passed away Saturday, March 9, 1991 after a sudden illness.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Mrs. Darlene Samuels Robinson; two sons, Paul Steven (Pete) Robinson 1 1 and Phillip Samuel Robinson; his parents, Will and Ceressie Robinson; two sisters, Delores and Sandra Robinson; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Chris and Barronette Robinson, Will Robinson, Jr. and Lorine Robinson; Best friend, Louvert Lattin; two nieces, Rebecca Robinson, Tina Battle; three nephews, Will Robinson, III, Martez Moore all of Shreveport, and Andrea Robinson of Seattle, Washington. Harold Eugene Ruffin MANSFIELD, LA Services for Harold Eugene Ruffin, 74, will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 15, 1991 at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Mansfield. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10 a.m. until service time. Mr. Ruffin died Tuesday, March 12, 1991 in Tiieras, New Mexico following a sudden illness.

He was born In Mansfield, was a veteran of World War 1 1, a building contractor and a former member of the First Baptist Church in Mansfield. Mr. Ruffin was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Sanderson Ruffin, and his father, Clifton Thomas Ruffin. He is survived bv his mother, Lois Juniel Ruffin of Lafayette, one daughter, Marianne Ruffin Ramsbottom of Bristol, Rhode Island; one son, Paul Harold Ruffin of Tucson, Arizona; four brothers, Francis B. Ruffin and Albert S.

Ruffin both of Mansfield, James C. Ruffin and Gary L. Ruffin both of Lafayette; four grandchildren, two greatgrandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. JoAnn Holmes Preston SHREVEPORT, LA Services for JoAnn Holmes Preston, 44, will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 16, 1991 in the chapel of Good Samaritan Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Republican Cemetery in Longwood, La. Family hour will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Preston died Friday, March 8, 1991 at LSU Medical Center.

She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for 18 years and devoted her life to caring for others. Survivors are, father, Mr. Herman Preston; one daughter, Patricia Preston; four sisters, Ella V. Lewis, Joyce P. Williams, Cynthia Preston, and Arletha Williams; dear friend, Mrs.

Ethel Gilliam; five nieces, four nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. W. T. "Tommy" Hammontree FRANKLIN, TEXAS Services will be conducted at United Methodist Church, Franklin, Texas, for Mr. W.

T. "Tommy" Hammontree, 65, of Franklin, Texas, on Friday, March 15, 1991 at 2 p.m. The body will lie in state from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Arcadia, La.

Graveside service and burial will be at 2 p.m., Saturday at Hurricane Cemetery near Arcadia, La. Mr. Hammontree was born April 12, 1925 and died March 13, 1991 at Scott-White Hospital in Temple, Texas. He was president of the NACA and was a veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Hammontree of Franklin, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Gail Hammontree of Schulenburg, Texas; two grandchildren; one sister, Mary Evelyn Matthews of Lufkin, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Jimmy Doyle Rigsby SHREVEPORT, LA Services for Mr. Jimmv Dovle Rigsby, 57, will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, March 15, 1991 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Rov Shelton, Jr.

Burial will be in Forest Park West Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mr.

Rigsby died Wednesday, March 13, 1991 at Willis-Knlghton Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was a lifelong resident of Shreveport. Mr. Rigsby was employed with Goodwill Industries for 41 years and was a member of the Church of The Nazarene. He is survived bv his brother, Harold 0.

Rigsby of Shreveport; two sisters, Mrs. Frankie E. Conley and Gloria J. Rigsby of Shreveport and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be David Rigsby, Eddie Rigsby, Neal Woodward, Sid Robinson, Shelton Farmer and Jerry Noble.

Tilma Lachney Jarred BLANCHARD, LA Tilma Lachney Jarred, 84, a fifty year resident of Blanchard, Louisiana died March 14, 1991 at Schumpert Medical Center after a long illness. She was born August 27, 1906 in Marksville, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Octave A. Lachney. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty years Alexander B. Jarred.

She was a homemaker and long time member of the First Baptist Church of Blanchard. She is survived bv her sister, Mrs. Adie Friedman of New Orleans; her brother, Clarence J. Lachney of Libuse, Louisiana; her nephew, Luther Laborde of Natchitoches; her two nieces, Mrs. Sue Neil Moffatt of New Orleans and Flossie Laborde of Shreveport; three stepsons, Carl T.

Jarred and Harry M. Jarred of Shreveport, and Bobbie J. Jarred of Lafayette and a host of friends and relatives. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 16, 1991 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Highway 165 North, Plneville, Louisiana. Officiating minister will be Dr.

James Hill, pastor of Blanchard First Baptist Church. Funeral services will be under the direction of Rose-Neath Marshall Street Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home between the hours of 5 and 7 p.m., Friday, March 15, 1991. Mrs. Nell Hitt SHREVEPORT, LA Services for Mrs.

Norman Neelv, pastor of the Longstreet Baptist Church. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery. Mrs. Hitt died Wednesday, March 13, 1991 at Schumpert Medical Center. She was born in Ida, La.

and had been a resident of Shreveport all of her life. Mrs. Hitt was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She is survived bv one daughter, Cherrie H. Runvan and husband, Marvin of Shreveport; grandson, Lowell Runyan and wife, Gail of Marshall, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Michael and Melissa Runyan; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Ernest Caudle, Billy Vandiver, Gradv Buchanan, Howard Havnes, Wayne Tidwell and F. M. Moses. The family suggests memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church or the charity of the donors choice. Mrs.

Florene Baker SHREVEPORT, LA Services for Mrs. Florene Baker, 72, will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, March 15, 1991 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Mrs. Baker died Tuesday, March 12, 1991 in Shreveport, La. She was born in Marion, was a former resident of Marion and Chatham, and had resided in Shreveport for the past 15 years. Mrs. Baker was a homemaker and a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Percy Baker; daughter, (Catherine Baker; mother, Nannie Rav Johnson; father, Henry Clark; and brother, James Johnson. Survivors include two sons, William Clark Baker of Sacramento, and James Walter Baker of Charlotte, N.C.; one daughter, Mrs. Helen L. Havs of Monroe, one granddaughter, Mrs. Teresa Ball of Bossier City, grandsons, William Clark "Billv" Baker, Jr.
