NEW YORK CITY SCHOOL SWltCHES TO OIL AFTER 5-YEAR TEST OF GAS FIVE YEARS OF GAS HEAT.

You could hardly ask for a fairer test. Now the experiment is over. City heating experts made their decision. OIL IS REPLACING GAS IN P.S. 3.

(Public School number 3.) When that happens, there'll not be a single school in the city system with central gas heating. A big city can afford tests like this. BUT few homeowners can afford to experiment with heating systems. It's too expensive. Official figures show GAS for P.S.3 cost in average of about 53,369 a year.

OIL for a school of similar size (P.S. 35 nearby) cost about $1,435 a yearl Do you wonder why so many homeowners as well as schools, bakeries, laundries, apartments and institutions are all joining the BIG SWITCH TO OIL HEAT?
