Mr. Matlock, a native of Jena, lived in Shreveport for 37 years and was a resident of Elm Grove, La. since 1971. He was bom August 1, 1914 and passed away Wednesday, November 30, 1994. Mr.

Matlock was a Sales Rep. in the major appliance, heating and air conditioning fields for many years. He retired from Thoikol Corp. as Traffic Manager. He was preceded in death by his son Charles Douglass Matlock.

He is survived by his wife Winifred Matlock of Elm Grove; son J. David Matlock and wife Karen; granddaughter Jennifer of Shreveport; step-daughter Barbara and husband Chuck Rodgers of Elm Grove; stepdaughters Donna Williams and Carol Murphey of West Monroe; step-son Walter Borsch of St. Joseph, nephews Byrum Teekell of Shreveport, Don Teekell of Alaska. Honorary pallbearers will be Chuck Rodgers, Richard Dean, Max Dean, Eddie Moss, Jim Moss, Roy Smith. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to Koran Baptist Church.

He was a member of Kings Highway Christian Church. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the Army Air Force. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters. Mr. Beede worked for Boeing Aircraft for 25 years and General Motors for nine years.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Gail Hoff Beede of Converse, four children. Sherry Heron and her husband, Russell of Houston, TX, Linda Rushworth of West Monroe, Cindy Corkran and her husband, Mike of Shreveport, Gary Beede and his wife, Rivers of San Antonio, TX; two sisters, Doris Cortl of Kellerton, IA, Esther McNeil cf Albuquerque, four brothers, Mark Beede of Indlanola, IA, Duane Beede of Climax Springs, MO, Cloyd Beede of Des Moines, IA and Ivan Beede of Colorado Springs, eight grandchildren, Rusty Herron, Jimmy Rushworth, Jennifer Herron, Adrienne Beede, Adam Beede, Kelry Corkran, Rebecca Beede and Jeffrey Corkran. Norma Davidson died Tuesday, November 29, 1994 after a brief illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Springridge. Mrs. Davidson was a housewife and a member of the Providence Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, James D.

Thursday at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Bossier City. Mr. Carlisle died Tuesday, November 29, 1994 at Bossier Medical Center. He was born in Shreveport and had resided in Bossier City for 26 years. Mr.

Carlisle was employed with Bossier Parish School Board at Rusheon Junior High School. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bossier City where he taught Sunday School and was a member of the Band of Angels Marching Group. He was a graduate of North Caddo High School and State Twirling Champion. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Carlisle. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Nancy Carlisle of Bossier City, mother, Hattie Carlisle Dodson of Shreveport; one sister, Jeanne Carlisle Conly of Vivian.

Burial will follow at Forest Park Cemetery. Mrs. English was bom September 17, 1906 in Caspiana, La. and was a resident of Shreveport for many years. Mrs.

English was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas English. She is survived by one daughter, Johnnie Louise Dawson and her husband, Gulliver W. Dawson, Jr. of Baton Rouge, one sister, Mrs. Monroe E.

Dodd, Jr. of Shreveport; one grandson, Gulliver W. Dawson, III and his wife, Dianne of Baton Rouge, one granddaughter, Suzan Fontenelle and her husband, Gary of Pittsburgh, Pennsytvania; two great grandchildren, Kimberty Dawson and Patrick Fontenelle. Mrs. English is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
