Jerry Johnson said.

Panola County Sheriff Jack Ellen will use the money to fund the salary and support expenses for an officer in a dangerous drug unit. Johnson said the Panola grant is part of $293,518 the governor's office is providing East Texas law enforcement agencies. The East Texas Council of governments will receive $113,775, of which $85,578 will be used for a regional police training program and $28,197 will fund a regional criminal justice coordinator.
