A by-the-numbers approach ensues II as Dacascos tries to outrun the cops, taking Wagner along with him into the decadence of auto theft and drag racing-" Set in the 1950s to emulate the wild teen pictures of that era. the production is filled with authentic period details, including the cars and the music. However, the mechanical screenplay and shallow characterizations work against its efforts.

The performers give excruciatingly forced readings of their lines, and Wagner sticks out like a sore thumb. Wagner's mother, actress Natalie Wood, fared much better in a similar role in the '50s classic "Rebel Without a Cause." brood of whining kids are cute. The meshing of genres is sometimes awkward, but the supporting cast, featuring Pamela Reed and Penelope Ann Miller, draws an everyman quality out of the hulking action hero. 8 p.m.. 2 Stars. The African location shooting enhances this predictable yarn about a man (Daniel J. Travanti) determined to bring back his daughter (Jennifer Grey) from Kenya before trouble erupts. He could have saved himself the trip, because his strong-willed daughter is determined to stay and work with her fiance in finding a cure for sleeping sickness. It might already be too late to help most viewers.

There are plenty of Arnold Schwarzenegger fans out there, and this Aim. coming after his surprising success with "Twins." attempted to appease them all with its fluctuations between romantic comedy and action thriller. "Ah-nold" is cast as a hard-nosed cop who goes undercover as a kindergarten teacher in order to catch a criminal. Linda Hunt, as the school's principal, is a comic delight, and some of the classroom scenes with Schwarzenegger and a wide 3 day sale debut set Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

the endearing eight-year-old twins who play Michelle in ABC's "Full House." will appear in the world television premiere of a music video which will launch their new detective home video series, "The Adventures of Mary-Kate and Ashley." The music video will be seen at the conclusion of the "Full House" episode airing Sept. 13 on ABC. In addition to their music video, the Olsens will star in a half hour ABC special, produced by dick dark productions, on the making of the video series. The special will air Sept. 17.
