"They call me and Bill sent me an autographed copy of his book," he said. Wyman's book, he said, is the "most factual and truest history that's been written about the Stones because it's based on his extensive, detailed personal diaries his bleeding archives. "Bill's an immaculate record keeper, so he actually knows more about the band's history than anyone," Easton said. And Easton said his son, Paul, 26, a well-known Naples entertainment agent, took a whirlwind tour of Great Britain last summer at the invitation of the legendary rockers.

"When they were vacationing at the Ritz-Carlton in Naples in Novemberof 1989, Paul and I had dinner with them," Easton said. "That's when they invited Paul to come over for the summer." SPEAKING OF FAMOUS ENTERTAINERS: Phyllis Diller was spotted having lunch at Truffles in Olde Naples recently. in 1963. "Shortly before that I'd discovered the Dave Clark Five and staged their first American tour," he said. DAVE BARRY IN BONITA? Don't be surprised if you hear that zany syndicated columnist Dave Barry has been spotted in Bonita Springs.

According to Nancy Lenox, a Bonita Springs real estate agent, Barry's wife Beth, is her husband WYMAN Eric Easton, 61, owner of Easton's Music Center of Naples, discovered and managed both the Dave Clark Five, the first British rock group to tour the United States according to Dick Clark, and the legendary Rolling Stones, the No. 1 act in the 35-year history of rock 'n' roll per Entertainment Weekly. The Dave Clark Five often is saluted on Clark's syndicated radio show, "Rock, Roll 'n' Remember," as the British band that got American audiences used to no-frills British rock 'n' roll and warmed them up for the Beatles. The group had several big hits in the early '60s including "Glad All Over," "Catch Us If You Can" and "Because." Discovering and managing the two groups is an accomplishment that Easton's quite proud of, but never mentions unless he's asked about it. According to the former Londoner, who's mentioned in all the books about the "Bad Boys," including the new one by Stones' guitarist Bill Alone: The Story of a Rock n' Roll Band," he stumbled upon the group by accident in a small London club VoV Easton said he knew the minute he heard the "Bad Boys" that he wanted to manage them.

He dropped the Dave Clark Five, he said, so he could devote all his time to his new find. "I also staged the Stones' first American tour," said Easton, who managed the group from 1963 to 1966. He said he retired from the business in 1 966 because managing the Rolling Stones for three years "really did him in." Easton said he stays in touch with the group, which he describes as "by far one of the most professional and talented the Bilk Jungle YOUR LOT MAY QUALIFY AS DOWN PAYMENT ALL SILKS ARE NOT ALIKE Come See 7ieNjA Unmatched in Quality Rates subject to change BOUT TOWN Models: 2003 Viscaya Parkway Cape Coral Boca Palms, Naples Difference! yj and Selection Planlorals 106" Tamiami Tr.
