School students and their mothers Miss Schoknecht spoke to the girls about her trip to Mobile and her experiences there while competing in the Junior Miss Pageant Wendy Ward Charm School graduates talk things over with 1971 Junior Miss Paula Schoknecht of Libby right Wearing the youthful fashions from Wards which they pm pm Gussie Gilliland Clarice Martin A over the past six months and is valued at $1200 Individuals or organizations in the community wishing to add to the college collection may do so by addressing their contribution of books or money to riends of the College Library in care of either VCC or the county library Mrs Brewer who manages the college collection which is on the second floor of the library added that the college portion of the library is open to all residents of lathead County for their use (VCC photo) Mrs John (Jan Henley) Chapman of Spokane will be graduated from Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing during commencement exercises June 11 at Central United Methodist Church in Spokane Richard Champoux (left) history and political science instructor of the lathead Valley Community College faculty and lathead County librarian Mabel Brewer (right) prepare some of the 250 books which Champoux has contributed to the community college portion of the library as part of the riends of the Library activity now in progress Champoux said the books are all new and pertain to subjects on government and history The addition to the college library has been made Roger incher son of Mr and Mrs William incher of Kalispell received a bachelor of science degree from Montana State University with Lori Strife Pam Schrade Kathy Norem Carol Anderson Cheri Vicki Adkins Shawn Adkins Susan Hughes Judy Himsl and Darla Maison of Kalispell Lorena Mills Somers Deana Crumley Columbia alls and Molly St Onge Debra Sieska Anna Kaeding and Mary Buckmeier of Libby The eight week charm course was taught by Mrs James (Nora) Kom of Kalispell and covered such things as posture and walking diet makeup exercise manicure hair care and wardrobe planning Also covered were the proper way to remove wraps and of getting in and out of automobiles The next Wendy Ward Charm School course will be offered Sept 15 REXBURG Idaho Brent Alan Barker and Janice Ruth Perry of Kalispell were named to the list of honor students at Ricks College for spring semester To achieve the honors list a student must have a 35 grade point average or above for the semester and cany a minimum of 14 credit hours a style show of fashions with each of the charm school graduates serving as models Diplomas and gifts were 756 3319 Eureka 296 21 51 This is a test strip for quality control in printing reproduction Mrs Chapman is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Vem Henley of Kalispell She is a 1968 graduate of lathead High School Mr and Mrs Henley plan to attend the graduation PORTLAND Ore Kalispell student Kathleen Himsl of Kalispell was on the honor roll for spring semester at University of Portland In order to qualify students must have a grade point average of 325 to 40 in 12 or more class hours Miss Himsl a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences received a 335 grade point average STITCH AND STEW Members of Stitch and Stew 4 Club entertained mothers at a mothers tea recently in the Conrad National Bank community room Hie girls modeled garments they had made Mary Ballenger who taught seventh and eighth graders in Africaspoke and showed slidesof Africa Roll call was answered with a worthwhile project for summer Members of Stitch and Stew were hostesses and served coffee punch and coffee to their guests Plans for the future include modeling at the style revue and participating in the clothing conference Leaders present were Mrs Rex Beeman Mrs Walter Bahr Mrs Gary Smith Mrs Ken Siderius Mrs rank Thomas and Mrs Larrick Guests were Ms Don Hughes Mrs Kenneth Crone Mrs Ed Nelner Mb David Rittersbacher Mrs Gene rehse Mrs Erma Bruyer Linda rehse and Jovita School Eighth Avenue East North and California Classes are for ages five years through 15 The school will consist of Bible lessons stories and crafts and all children are welcome a spokesman said
