24 (TP) Coca, coffee and copper made good advances in commodity futures trading today, but movement of other commodities traded on New York and Chicago markets was irregular. Coca was up .31 to .36 of a cent a pound and copper gained .40 to .50 of a cent a pound, although there were only two contracts for the red metal. Favorable reports on coffee consumption sent contracts up .15 to .40 of a cent a pound and contracts up .15 to .20 of a cent. Rubber was a big loser, with No. 1 futures down .95 to 1.15 cents a pound, and Rex futures off .95 to 1.05 cents.

Wool tops lost 1 to 1.7 cents a pound, while wool was mixed .9 of a cent a pound lower to .1 of a cent higher. Sugar, lard and zinc gained slightly, but cottonseed oil and hides were mixed and there was no trading in soybean oil, lead, tin and silk. Gain movements at Chicago were in fractions for the most part. Wheat was up Vb to Ts of a cent a bushel and soybeans increased to li-8 cents. Corn was narrowly mixed and oats and rye lost small amounts.

New York cotton closed 30 cents a bale lower to 35 cents higher.
