MICHAEL LEONE Chief Thunderbird Triumphs In 23 Minutes Of Main Bout Of Wre'stling Card Chief Thunderbird, Vancouver Indian and the newest gate attrac tion among Ed Contos' string cf. wrestlers, scored a popular victory over Michael Leone last night in the main bout at the Coliseum. A crowd of more than 1200 watched the program that, from beginning to nd, was an effective yawn killer.

The victory was earned in 23 minutes and 3 seconds. Leone Tried Hard Leone threw everything he had and that was plenty into his unsuccessful bid. He lambasted the Indian from left to right and back again for some 20 minutes with tell ing effect. However, on one of his many re turns to the ring after being tossed out by Leone, the Chief elbowed the lunging villain and all he had to do from then on was to secure the victory. If any of the supporting bouts could be signaled out as better than the others it was the Babe Sharkey Big Ben Morgan bruiser.

Sharkey, in his topmost form handed Mor gan his first defeat before local fans but it took jlhe Babe 22 minutes to do it. Scoro First Fall Dick Lever and John Vansky scored the first fall in the tag-team match over Johnny Long and Maurice LaChappelle by using clever team work at LaChappellc's expense, but it was the Frenchman in the second and crucial test that returned to save Long's neck and the match. Long, as usual, put on one of his steam-packed rallies that took the honors and the decisive fall. Time for the three heats was 15.8 and 15 minutes, respectively. Jack Wentworth plastered Bam- ba Tabu on the mat in the pro gram opened in 14 minutes.

Arthur Lauf Captures State Bicycle Tourney With 22-Point Score Arthur Lauf, veteran bicycle campaigner, captured the Marvlanrt State Bicycle championships with a total ot 22 points. Lauf capped a series or successes in the comDPti- lion by pedaling his way to victory in me senior lu-mile event, turning in firsts In four of the five sprints in the race. G. C. Sandruck, almost a consistent second to Lauf in the events, came in for-second honors of the tourney with 18 points, while Pierre de Vise, of Washington, eased into the third ilot with 8 points.

'v' Norman Kxatzer, Phil borsch and Clyde Nit were all knotted up for fourth place and a match race to decide the post was. won by Kratzer, with Dorsch second and Nitz. third. In the junior division first place victory went to Richard Iglehart with 15 points, beating Clyde bimms With 8. Peggy Kratzer and Bernadine Iglehart finished in that order in the ladies events.
