Ida ho when seven patients died jn a nursing home fire had special significance for a Eureka woman Mrs Hubert Marchbanks was employed as bookkeeper and office worker for and Ruth Salter ownersrom September 1961 until July 1962 when she returned to Eureka Sept 17 this year two years from the day she had gone to work the home burn ed to the ground taking the lives of seven of the men patients Only three escaped from the ward Within 45 minutes from the time the fire was discovered the structure was destroyed Mrs Marchbanks and Mrs Ronald Morgan of Eureka visited the Paradise Pines nursing home in August and talked and sang for all the patients They gave a 40 rninute concert in the Ward for the benefit of John Zietlow who suffered from heart condition and go to the main room for the
