USFL Invaders Fire Head Coach OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) The Oakland Invaders on Tuesday 1 fired head Coach and General Manager John Ralston and replaced him with Chuck Hutchison, the United States Football League team's offensive line coach and director of player personnel Ralston will remain with the team, however, in an undisclosed capacity. The Invaders, who have scored just seven points in losing the first three games of the 1984 season, made the announcement at a news conference Tuesday. Hutchison, 35, earns the distinction of being the youngest head coach in the two-year-old football league. He joined the Invaders in 1982, following three years as offensive line coach of the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League.

Express Add Malavasi to Staff LOS ANGELES (AP) Ray Malavasi, who took the Los Angeles Rams to the Super Bowl in 1980, was named defensive coordinator with the Los Angeles Express of the United States Football League Tuesday. i Malavasi replaces Pokey Allen, who was fired. "Ray demonstrated tremendous coaching ability with the Rams for many years," said Don Klosterman, Express president and general manager. "During his years a defensive coordinator he always had the defense near the top of the NFL. No one can question his knowledge of the game.

He brings great experience to our organization." Malavasi was fired last week as offensive line coach of the Oakland Invaders. He was head coach of the National Football League's Rams for five years. ABC Takes Out Olympic Policy NEW YORK (AP) The American Broadcasting which paid $225 million for television rights to the 1984 Summer Olympic Games, has insured its coverage for $200 million, a network spokesman said Tuesday. The insurance, purchased from Firemen's Fund of San Francis- co, "covers the network against revenue loss at the bottom line," Tom Osenton said. "We are covered to the extent that revenues meet all costs." Osenton said the network was not covered against the pullout of specific countries or against the loss of advertising revenue be-, cause of disappointing ratings.

In 1980, NBC's insurance policy with Lloyd's of London enabled the network to recover $68 million of the $87 million it paid for coverage of the Summer Games at Moscow. Galloway Takes Golfing Honors Ruth Galloway took low gross honors to win the weekly ladies golf tourney at Alexandria Golf and Country Club Tuesday.
