Eureka Girl To Study Ballet At Rambert School For One Year The strain of fifteen years of disciplined study and practice, practice by a young Eureka girl', Miss Jacqueline Pavlich, a mat its justification. She has been accepted to study under Dame Marie Rambert at the Rambert School of Ballet in 'London, England --one of Europe's foremost schools of ballet. Miss Pavlich, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Pavlich of Cultcn, will depart Sunday for school, where she will study for one year.

General cur- ciculurn for senior students includes classes in repertoire, pas jde deux, modern and character "work. The school is divided into three terms. Vacations are usually three weeks at Christmas and Easter and seven weeks between August and September. Miss Pavlich will spend Christmas holidays with r. grandparents in Switzerland.

As a preliminary buildup to this year's study, the June graduate of St. Bernard's i school, in Eureka, has studied under Betty Merriweather 15 years. For two summers she has studied at (he San Francisco under ths general direction of Lew Christensen. Last summer Miss Pavlich studied at the American-School of Dance in Los Angeles under the direction of Eugene Loring. She has danced in productions by -Betty Merriweather at Sequoia Theatre, Humboldt Slate college.

A highlight of the spring production was the chore- graph of "Etudes" by i Pavlich and Virginia Niek'rasz. The London bound girl a also danced the Swan Queen in "Swan Lake." i in "Giselle," and Swandilla i "CoppeJia." This past winter, Miss Pavlich taught in Fortuna at the Music Mart. Although Miss Pavlich is tentatively planning to travel to Germany following her year of study, it is suggested by school, that, in certain instances graduate students may join the company. The Rambert School of' Ballet, Mercury Theatre, is under the direction of its founder, Madame Rambert.
