At the close of the afternoon the Onalaska ladles served lunch. School Fair May 8. The Community center School fair and exhibit for Division comprising twelve schools around Onalaska center will be held in Onaluska May 8. Exhibits of scholastic and hand work of the pupils will be on display from various schools. The Onalaska grade school will exhibit in the grade school building; all other exhibits will be in the high school building.

On the morning of May 5 contests will be held in first grade reading, the 45 combinations; third, fourth, fifth, sixth grade spelling; long division for seventh grade, and silent reading for the eighth grade. Principal Thomas of the high school will direct these contests. In after. noon there will be field and track events, followed by a baseball game between the Knox and Onalaska teams. Coach Porter will direct the contests.

In the evening at the high school auditorium the various schools of this division will give a free program; the high school domestic art class will present a fashion show and Mrs. Blanche Nagel, assistant state superintendent of public instruction, will speak. Everyone is invited to the program and to see the work of the schools of this division. District K. of P.

Brooke and Miss Olive Hatfield composed a party spending the week-end at Pacific Beach. Leonard, Arnold, John and Robert Davis, all of Castle Rock, and Mrs Gould and Mrs. Stankey, both of Kelso, visited Sunday in the Chester Davis home. Mr. and Mrs.

E. Gaylord of Carlisle spent Sunday with their son, E. Gaylord and family. Mrs. Evelyn Ort and small son, who have been visiting with her brother, Mr.

George Zopf and daughter Phyllis Lea, returned Tuesday from a week's visit with relatives in Seattle Mrs. Geo. Fleming left Sunday for a few days' visit with her sister in Portland. Last Saturday a of Miss Sarah Burger's friends gave her a surprise miscellaneous-shower. Miss Burger will be a June bride.

Mr. and Mrs. T. H. O'Donnell vis ited in Kelso Sunday.

Mrs. Agnes Barnes of Olympi spent the week-end with Mrs. Geo Farnham. The local church was represented at the annual meeting of the Colum bia River Presbyterial 'at Kelso Mrs. W.

is sponsoring a dramatic recital, "What Every Woman Knows," given by Horace G. Rohskopf of Willamette university Friday night at the high school. Mr. Rahskopf is one of the best on the Pacific coast and everyone who does not attend will miss a good treat. Miss Agnes Barnes of Olympia spent the week-end with Mrs.

A delightful time was had by the 75 members attending and the refreshments showed the excellent hospitality of the Onalaska ladies. The following officers elected: President, Mrs.

Rayton; financial secretary, Mrs. Ira Smith; members of executive committee, Mrs. E. A. Donaldson, Adna, and Mrs.

Nina Severson of Winlock. A large delegation of Chehalis members of Mooseheart Legion attended a gathering of that organization at Olympia Wednesday evening. Plans are under way for districting the state so. that Chehalis, Centralia and Olympia and environs will be in a new district with a branch of the Mooseheart Legion having this city as its headquarters.
