Candidates for marshal in Alexandria and Pineville will meet the press Sept. 12. Running in the Wards 1 and 8 race are incumbent Otis Penny and Leon Blalock. Running in Wards 9 and 10 are Clyde Carmouche, Fredrick Goudeau William R.

Hobson and A.O. Perry. School Board candidates will appear Sept. 4-6. Sept.

4, Districts and candidates will appear. Candidates are George C. Duncan and Dr. George E. Hearn, District Terry L.

Farrar and Donnie R. Wilburn, District and incumbent D.A. Anderson, David F. lies and Joe Page (D). Sept.

5, Jo Ann Kellogg and incumbent William Liberto, District Fred L. Britt, Louis V. Crenshaw, Dudley Hixson and Elsie Hutchinson, District (1, will appear. The Sept. 6 session will include incumbent Farley Cloud, Charles F.

Day, Tyrone Doyle, Candidates entered in the Sept. 16 Rapides Parish primaries will be given a chance to publicize their platforms and answer questions. Eleven sessions have been scheduled, according to Lewis Seale, president of the- Central Louisiana Press Club. Sponsoring the conferences, the club will hold the sessions at 7 p.m. in the Bolton Avenue Community Center.

With 12 candidates, 11 with opposition, running for judge in the 9th Judicial District Court, two press conferences will be held. On Aug. 22, five candidates will speak: Alfred Mansour and Lloyd G. Teekell, Division and Judge Guy E. Humphries C.

Edward Karst and Alfred B. Shapiro, Division B. Speaking Aug. 23 will be Judge Jules L. Davidson, and Edward Larvadain Division Louis Berry and Judge Robert P.

Jackson, Division and Richard E. Lee and Cora R. Schley, Division F. Aug. 24 District Attorney Ed Ware and Arnold Charlie D.

Holloway, Keith L. Holt, Walter L. Pringle and Mason Willis, District H. In the Rapides Parish Police Jury race, 25 have entered with 23 facing oposition. On Aug.

28, incumbent Paul Moreau and W.L. Moore, District incumbent Clyde Linzay, Edwin Rush and Ralph H. Sasser, District will speak. In Districts and six candidates will speak on Aug. 29.

They are Jocelyn J. Barnes, John A. Christophe and Joe Fuller, District Darryle Edwards, Ubie Johnson and Thomas R. Parnell, District F. On Aug.

30, candidates speaking are Robert J. Carlyon, incumbent Gayle J. Craig, incumbent W. Fielding James, incumbent Tom Mathews and James W. Sweat, District E.

Six candidates are scheduled for Aug. 31 representing Districts and H. They are John L. Bradas and incumbent Edgar C. Hathorn, District incumbent Richard W.
