She was an excellent golfer and volleyball player.

She was celebrated as Athlete Of The Year by the Jewish Community Center of Rochester. An exhibit of her many trophies are proudly shown on her mantle. She was a dental hygienist and adored by all of her patients. Her great smile and stories of her global exploits entertained them. She had a myriad of friends in Florida and Rochester, and will be missed by all.

She is predeceased by her husband, Robert Rosenthal. Survived by her sister, Annette Grau; nephew, Jack (Helene) Snyder: niece, Jacqueline (Phil) Sherman; and several great nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be held on FRIDAY at 11 AM in White Haven Memorial Park. Please meet at the main entrance. More than 250 firefighters battled the blaze and hundreds of residents were forced to evacuate their homes. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. State officials urge emergency ederal Zika funding NEW YORK Officials say 49 pregnant women have tested positive since New York City started its Zika action plan in April. One baby has been born with microcephaly due to the virus.

Overall, more than 3,400 at-risk pregnant women have been tested under the program. Mayor Bill de Blasio said Tuesday that the city has committed $21million protect New Yorkers from Zika. Pension fund reports return for quarter ALBANY The New York pension fund for state and local government workers has reported a 2 percent return for the quarter that ended June 30. The retirement fund has an estimated value of $181billion.

Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli, the sole trustee, says they were able to make some gains in financial mark ets that remain challenging. The fund holds assets for more than amillion government employees, retirees and beneficiaries. The fund had 38.3 percent of its assets in domestic stocks, 15.6 percent in international stocks, 26.7 percent in cash, bonds and mortgages, 7.8 percent in private equities, 7 percent in real estate and 3.3 percent in other investments. I ts estimated annual return on inv estment is 7 percent, though it was early flat last year. Woman charged with fatally tabbing half-brother JAMESTOWN Authorities say charged a 23-year-old woman with fatally stabbing her half-brother to death inside a western New York home.

Police in the city of Jamestown in hautauqua County say officers found he body of 36-year-old Dale Redeye a round 8:45 p.m. Sunday after they ere called to an upstairs apartment of ahouse he shared with his half-sister. Police later charged Barbara Redeye with second-degree murder. Authorities say the stabbing occurred during a dispute. Barbara Redeye was arraigned and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail without bail.

Nathaniel Barone, the public defender handling her case, says Tuesday his client maintains her innocence, but too early in the case for additional comment. An investigation is ongoing. Associated Press STATE BRIEFS.
