Town Talk, Alexandria-Pineville, Wednesday, April 28, 1976 A-7 Cenla Deaths Native of Hicks (Special to The Town Talk) HINESTON. La. Mrs. Alice Jeter, 93, of Hineston died at 11:18 a.m. Tuesday in Fair Oaks Nursing Home.

She was a native of Hicks. Survivors include two sons, Neal Jeter of Simpson and L.C. Jeter of Port Neches, seven daughters, Mrs. Virgie Jeane of Hineston, Mrs. Myrtle Price of Leander, Mrs.

Pearl Ingalls of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Maisy Day of Beaumont, Mrs. Lela Gordy of Alexandria, Mrs. Selma Boswell of Otis and Mrs. Cathalena Park of Souix City, Iowa; one sister, Mrs.

Nora Martin of DeRidder; 34 grandchildren, 82 -grandchildren and two Services will be held at 2 great p.m. Thursday in Flactor Baptist Church in Hicks with Revs. A.L. Gaspard, E.A. Wood and Herbert Jeter officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery under direction of Hixson, Lees- Cyril L. Gagnard Alice Jeter, CLINTON, Miss. (Special to The Town Talk) MARKSVILLE, La. Cyril Louis Gagnard, 73, of Marksville died at 12:08 a.m. Tuesday in a nursing home here.

Services were held at 10: 30 a.m. today in the chapel of Hixson Marksville. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery No. 2.

Frank Kegley (Special to The Town Talk) Graveside services for A. Frank Kegley of Clinton were held at 11 a.m. today in Lakewood Memorial Park, Jackson, under direction of Baldwin Funeral Home. He died Monday in Atlanta, Ga. Kegley was regional traffic manager for Continental Trailways here and had been traffic director for the same bus line in Alexandria, La.

Lester Manuel Services for Lester Man- uel, 53, of Oakdale were held at 3 p.m. today in the Mt. Hope Baptist Church near Oakdale with Rev. Sam Martin officiating. Burial was in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Oakdale under direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Manuel died Tuesday afternoon in St. Frances Cabrini Hospital. He was employed by Newport Industries in Oakdale. Mrs. Angeline Cole Mrs.

Angeline Dodge Cole, 73, of Alexandria died at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday in her residence. She was the widow of Sam Cole. Survivors include four sons, Sherfield Cole and Sam Cole both of Pineville, and Lionel Cole and Willis Cole, both of Deville; four daughters, Mrs. Dora Yarborough of Forest Park, Mrs.

Louella Mathews of Alexandria, Mrs. Ruth Mabou of Deville and Mrs. Audrey Juvrud of Grant Forks, N.D.; two brothers, Melton Dodge of Centerpoint and Cleveland Dodge of Vick; three sisters, Mrs. Laura Harmson, Mrs. Eve Cole and Mrs.

Nonie Sasser, all of Centerpoint, 22 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services will be held in Fichie Baptist Church, Effie, at a time to be announced by John Kramer and Son. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Willie J. Howard Willie James Howard, 22, formerly of Alexandria, died in Houston Saturday.

He was a construction worker and Aid to Elderly BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) A legislative subcommittee will sponsor a package of bills in the upcoming legislative session to expand services for the elderly. One of the bills, said the joint subcommittee on aging, would grant state financial aid to elderly persons who want to remain home instead of going to a nursing facility. The funds could be used to hire people to provide necessary services for elderly people unable to drive cars or unable to walk to grocery stores drug stores or the like. Pallbearers were John Barr, Joseph Barr Doug Anderson, Zebbie Roddy, Mack Barr and Don Anderson. Four persons were hurt in two traffic accidents 1 Tuesday in Alexandria. Police said Danny Rachal, 3, of 2921 Madison St.

was hit by a car on Washington Street near Johnny Rush Field at 5:05 p.m. Police quoted witnesses as saying the Rachal boy dashed into the path of a car driven by Reginald C. Hartzay, 17, of 2506 Silverleaf St. Officers said James D. Knox, 59, and Lottie Knox, 64, both of 6104 Manor and 1 Bea Hendricks, 71, of 1026 Lydia Drive were injured when their vehicle collided with another at Lee Street Extension and Jefferson Street at 5: 16 p.m.

(UPI) School officials reported 50 per cent absenteeism today at a high school where racial tension led to the arrest of seven students Tuesday. However, no violent incidents were reported today as classes resumed at Hahnville High School, which has an enrollment of 1,100 students. Seven students were arrested Tuesday for refusing police orders to leave the school campus.

All were freed on bond. "Most of them were charged with refusing to move on, resisting arrest and things like that," said Capt. Arthur Zimmer of the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's office.
