Charles C. Lanning of 1023 Foster St. was listed in good condition at Physicians and Surgeons Hospital last night. According to police, the accident happened at Creswell Avenue and Wilkinson Street. Lanning, who was headed south on Creswell, was about to turn onto Wilkinson when he apparently darted in front of a car, police said.

Gary G. La Borde, 21, of 1620 Creswell was listed by police as the driver of the auto. No charges were filed in connection with the accident, according to officers. Crash Injures Local Youth, 19 Charles Wilson, 19, of 9442 Woodcrest suffered a fractured right leg Sunday afternoon when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car, police said. A native of San Antonio, Tex. and a 23-year resident of Shreveport, Mr. Thomas, who resided at 1533 State died Sunday in Physicians Surgeons Hospital after a sudden illness. He was 45. Officiating at the services will be the Rev.

Michael W. Hudspeth, pastor of the United Pentecostal Church of Shreveport. Burial will be in the Macedonnia Cemetery in Bessemer, Ala. Mr. Clinton was employed as a technician for American Telephone and Telegraph Corp.

He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church. He is survived by his widow; one son, Danny Ken-drick Thomas of South Carolina; and two daughters, Angela Thomas and Kin Thomas, both of Shreveport. Other survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.

Lightfoot polled 5,862 in the Democratic primary compared to 1,794 for Weatherford. A court-at-law Judge Jack Yarborough defeated Nacogdoches attorney Ed Moore 4,737 to 2,559 in the race for court-at-law judge, the returns showed.

Incumbent county attorney Brian David defeated vTom Rorie by 5,071 to 2,279. There will be runoffs in two other contests in the county. For tax assessor collector there will be a runoff between Jim Crul and Patsy Cates while Billy Reneau and W. C. Sparks will be in a runoff for commissioner of precinct 1.

All other incumbents won handily. Smith Elected In Special Ballot Times News Service MERRYVILLE In a special election held in Mer-ryville Saturday Harman Smith was elected Ward 2 police juror, according to complete but unofficial returns. Smith polled 694 and his opponent Wilmot Kellogg received 577 in the runoff. The remaining term of the late Wade Cooley will be served by Smith. Arkansan, 22, Dies in Crash BEE BRANCH, Ark.

(AP) Kerry C. McKenzie, 22, of Gravesville was killed Sunday 2Vi miles south of here when his car ran off U.S. 65 and struck a culvert and a telephone pole, the State Police said.
