Concord surfacing slated this summer fergis falls (Mn.) Journal April 11,1973 6 The gravel route in the city from Peck Street to Mt. Faith by way of the Concord Street bridge is scheduled for sur- facing this summer. The grade will be changed on Summit Avenue east of Burlington and that block also will be surfaced. The route for Friberg Avenue will be changed and run west of the new YMCA building to connect with Fir Avenue. Broadway from Lincoln to 7th Avenue will get curb, gutter and new surfacing.

Those are the major street projects slated for this year, according to Don Ronning, city engineer. State aid will cover most of the estimated cost of 1300,000. The city is negotiating for four pieces of property on the south side of Summit Avenue Gospel group coming to Underwood school London Parris and the Apostles, a new gospel group, will perform Saturday at 8 p.m. in the Underwood High School. London Parris, often referred to as Mr.

Gospel Bass, and his band, were awarded the Dove Award for being the Most Promising New Gospel Talent of 1972. The concert is sponsored by area Christian laymen. east of Burlington. Purchase is viewed as necessary to make a more gradual slope. Eventually after the grade has been changed the property can be resold, Ronning said.
