LSU students and high school seniors planning to attend the University next fall may audition for the Tigerettes twirling corps on March 13 or the Golden Girls dance team on March 20 beginning at 9:30 a.m., in the Band Hall. Girls will be selected on the basis of twirling or dancing ability, appearance, personality, poise and rhythm.

A minimum height of 5 2 is required. The Golden Girls and Tigerettes perform halftime shows with the Tiger Band during LSU home football games. In addition, they accompany the Band on at least one trip a season to an out-of-town LSU football game. Each girl will be expected to present a prepared dance or twirling routine to music.
