I i 1- Millinery opening Thursday, March 11th, second floor S. J. Johnson Co You i.re cordially Invited. Harris Sisters. To The LADIES The decision of the Supreme Court, in the Harrison county court district has not settled the litigation, and present indications are that the opponents of division will continue their filibustering tactics nntil the next legislative session at which time they hope to secure a repeal of the act authorizing the division.

The board of supervisors has positively refused to declare the special election carried in favor of the division, which.it is contended, was the intent of the Supreme Court decree, and Is now engaged in a lively squabble with the special election commissioners who certified to the board that a majority vto chad been cast for the creation of the new district. As a result of this action by the supervisors, Hon. I. M. llarber, attorney for the new district faction, has applied for a writ of mandamus compelling the board to declare the election carried and take the necessary steps toward the erection a court house at McHenry.

This matter will come before the Supreme Court at an early date, and in event Mr. Barber wins his fight the supervisors are liable to he heavily fined for failure to obey the Supreme Court decree. Another phase of the case developed is the assessment of $50 fines "against two of the election commissioners. Messrs. J.

M. Washburn and H. C. Jordan, for alleged contempt in refusing to submit the ballot boxes and tally sheets to the board of supervisors for inspection. These however, were afterwards remitetd, thi hoard having some doubt as to Its authority in the procedure.

Considerable factional feeling has been aroused in the matter, and if the dilly-dalying continues the final set-' dement will be delayed until the legislature meets, which is evidently the purpose of' the present filibustering tactics. i Mv if :1 I a 14 I 0 It I Young Men's Suits $12.50 to $25.00 You have surely intended all winter, that in the early spring you would have a beautiful shirtwaist, hat or parasol stamped for your use this summer.
