She is survived by her husband, Preston Wallace; a son, James Thomas Wallace of Bossier City; two daughters, Mrs. Sammy Dyson of Ruston and Mrs. John Pollard of Carthage, two brothers, J. I. Rawlins of Winchester, J.

Dean Shaw of Center, three sisters, Mrs. H. C. Luther of Crowley, Mrs. J.

B. Head of Oak and Mrs. Doris Creel of Covinton, and six grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Verda Baptist church with Rev.

Mack Bright, Rev. Wayne Blue and Rev. Vern Fletcher officiating. Burial was in Mars Hill cemetery. John Monk (Special to the Town Talk) LACAMP, La.

John Monk, 86, died at 9:30 p.m. Monday at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Emma Monk; two sons, Fred Monk and Leroy Monk, both of LaCamp; one daughter, Mrs. Velma Welch of Leander; one brother, W.

M. Monk of LaCamp; two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Williams of Leesville and Mrs. Rosie Carmichael of Galveston, 13 grandchildren a and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were to be held at 2 p.m.

today in Laurel Hill Baptist church with Rev. B. G. Dyess and Rev. S.

P. Bounds officiating. Burial was to be in the church cemetery under direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Oakdale. Mrs. Kirby of Glenmora died at 11:30 p.m.

Tuesday in an Alexandria hospital. She is survived by a son, Dr. George F. Kirby Jr. of Houston, one daughter, Mrs.

Venson Bell of Glenmora; one Mrs. Vesta Mason Kirby, 79, brother, J. D. Mason of Baton Rouge; one sister, Mrs. Mark Henderson of Glenmora; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today Thursday in the chapel of Ardoin's in Glenmora. Rev. Dale McClain will officiate. Burial will be in Butter cemetery at Forest Hill.

Mrs. Maueux (Special to The Town Talk) MANSURA, La. Mrs. Elma Gauthier Mayeux, 87, of Arabi, died at 6 p.m. Sunday in a New Orleans hospital.

She was the widow of Emile Mica Mayeux of Moreauville. She is survived by three sons, Norris Mayeux, Raymond J. NO Mayeux and Jewell James Mayeux, all of New Orleans; a sister, Mrs. Lionel Couvillion of Moreauville, and one grandchild. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m.

Tuesday in Sacred Heart Catholic church at Moreauville with Rev. John M. Timmermans officiating. Burial was in Sacred Heart cemetery under direction of Escude Funeral Home of Moreauville. Mrs.

Coleman Mrs. Loula Coleman, 82, of 416 Willow Glen River Road, died April 15 in an Alexandria hospital. She is survived by three sons, Robert Coleman, Charles Coleman and Willie Coleman, all of Alexandria; four daughters, Miss Coleman of Los Angeles, Mrs. Josephine George of Los Angeles, Mrs. Emma Lou Lusk of Alexandria and Mrs.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today in the chapel of Hixsons with Rev. Aubrey Boswell officiating. Burial was in the Good Hope cemetery at Cypress. Cleveland Ducote (Special to the town talk) PLAUCHEVILLE, Cleveland Ducote, 81, died Tuesday night in a Dupont nursing home.

He was a resident of Algiers and a native of Plaucheville. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Teresa Elliot of New Orleans; four sisters, Mrs. Orlige Stark, Mrs. Sidney Stark and Amy Schubhurt, of Plaucheville and Mrs.
