Jones of the criminal investigation division of the sheriff's office said Shirley Coleman, mother of four, was last reported seen when she left home alone at about 3 or 4 p.m Christmas Eve to go shopping Jones said her abandoned vehicle was found Christmas Day parked at a shopping center on Waggoner Street between llenrne Avenue and Mansfield Kuud. 1, four months after Confederate celebrated the 100th anniversary of its founding in Shreveport. The latter half of 1976 was aDDarentlv a better period for Confederate than the first half. In early January, 1976, Confederate was forced to cutback its services to emergency-only admissions and operations because of a shortage of funds in its medical supplies budget. Legislative action to alleviate the financial crisis finally allowed resumption of services to full level in early March. Willis-Knighton Hospital began major construction in this year. The first phase of the $12 million expansion program is under way. To be coastrueted in the first phase is a $8,432,000 five-story addition.
