Teachers Convene For Money Quest NEW ORLEANS (UPI) -About 8,000 members of the Louisiana Teachers Association gathered here today for their annual convention with hopes of emphasizing the need for more money in the state public school system.

Association President James W. Morris of Baton Rouge said in an interview Sunday that the state school system is in a sad financial condition. Dr. Mrs. Goudchaux resided in Alexandria before moving to Bunkie. Mrs. Goudchaux is survived by two daughters, Mrs.

Leona Firnberg of Bunkie, and Mrs. Lottie Morrison of Beaumont, Texas; two brothers, M. Wolff and Julian Wolff, both of Washington; and three sisters, Mrs. Zetta Loeb of Washington, Mrs. Edmond Dreyfus of New Orleans, and Mrs.

Jacob Weil of Alexandria. Funeral services were scheduled for 2:30 p.m. today in the chapel of Hixson Bros. Funeral Home in Bunkie. Burial will be in the Jewish cemetery in Opelousas.

Joseph W. Sanders Dies at Age of 60 (Special to The Town Talk) JENA, La. Joseph Washington Sanders, 60, a commerical fisherman of near Jena, died at 6 p.m. Sunday in a Jena hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m.

Tuesday in the Magnolia Baptist church. Burial will be in the Magnolia cemetery under direction of John Kramer Son Funeral Home. W. H. McCarty, 82 (Special to The Town Talk) WINNFIELD, La.

William Howard McCarty, 82, a retired farmer of the Beech Creek community, died Saturday in a Urania hospital after a long illness. Funeral services were to be held at 2 p.m. today with the Reverends H. B. Howard and Willie Broadway officiating.
