Adolph Lemke Dies Tuesday Adolph (Ben) Lemke, 55, former Ludington resident, was dead on arrival Tuesday at a Las Vegas, hospital following an automobile accident. Mr. Lemke was born Jan. 14, 1909 in Detroit, moved when a boy to Fenton where he attended school. He came to Ludington in 1930 and was employed in Pere Marquette freight shed and aboard carferries.

He returned in 1939 to Detroit where he worked as a truck driver. Surviving are two sons Clyde and Russell of Ludington; seven grandchildren; his father Adolph B. Lemke Sr. of Detroit; three brothers Clyde of Utica. John and Edward of Detroit and a sister Mrs.

James (Wilma) Bowen of Fenton. He was preceded in death by a daughter Marjorie Jean, his mother and a brother Harold. The body is at Dorrell Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. weather report Highest temperature Wednes- day 84, lowest 60.

Election of officers for the '1964-65 school year was held at this meeting with the following being elected: president, Loren Young, first vice president, Elery Harmon, second vice president, Al Dittmer, secretary, Phyllis Cooper, treasurer, Janet Brenner. Out-going officers from the 1963-64 school year are: President James Martz, second Vice President Louis Lundberg, Secretary Marcia Sadler and Treasurer Laura Sorensen.

The following are projects of the PTA sponsored this school year: two microscopes, one microscopic projector, one set (of Child Craft reference books, three record players, one set of World Book Encylopedias and helped with a portion of the eighth grade trip. Harold Zeber of route 2 Ludington has returned from Chesterfield, where she attended funeral services Monday afternoon for her uncle, Earl Bates, 77, who died May at his home at 411 Eastern in Chesterfield. Mr. Bates who moved to Fort Wayne, in 1935, was married in 1909 to Bertha Lambert. He was a charter member of Church of Divine Science in Fort Wayne. He also was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Independent Order of Odd Fellows and Free Accepted Masons.
