Mrs. Boaz is Mrs. Els' mother, and Mrs. Clark, her sister. On Wednesday, the vacationers, Mrs.

Els and the latter's daughter and granddaughter, Mrs. Dimitri Filost-rat and Catherine Grace Filostrat, went to Baton Rouge to visit Mrs. Els' other daughter, Mrs. Ralph W. Brewer Mr.

Brewer and their sons. CAROLINA BOUND Col. and Mrs. H. 0.

Wangeman are visiting her mother, Mrs. Carrie Johnson, her sister, Mrs. Elmer D. Burke, and Mr. Burke, at the family home on the Shreveport highway.

They are en route to Sumpter, South Carolina, where the colonel has been assigned to Shaw Air Force base. r.v "llllil Y-: I 1 Ilk liKiillf GREETINGS FROM SOTH STATE This morning's mail bring greetings from two members of the Ward-Steinman family Judith and her mother, Mrs. Irving Ward-Steinman, who are studying at the University of Hawaii. Judy is doing graduate work In the Far Eastern department. She enrolled last February following her graduation cum laude from Louisiana College.

For her work so far she has earned a "4.0" (straight A) average, and April was awarded top graduate assistant-ship given at the university which accords full faculty status In the history department. Mrs. Ward-Steinman joined her several weeks ago for the Asian Institute, a post-graduate summer program in which they are both enrolled. Mrs. Ward-Steinman, who will return In August, is taking advantage of the offerings in Asian music and folk dances.

She received her Master's degree last summer from Northwestern State College. In addition to their formal academic pursuits, they are deriving much pleasure from their stay in Honolulu. RETURN HOME Mr. and Mrs. W.

E. Boyette, the former Miss Evelyn Beeson of Pollock, are home from Brook-haven, where on Sunday they attended a reunion of the Beeson clan in Pleasant Methodist church. They were accompanied by Mrs. H. R.

Matthews, president, philonthropic projects for the coming year were dis cussed and plans were made to continue this type work as has been in the past, with the Veterans hospital and pediatics ward at Charity hosiptal as major chapter projects.

The sorority will continue to assist with the various charitable drives through out the year and the state project of assistance to crippled children. Mr. Smith showed the group movies of chapter activities and pictures taken during the ESA convention, held here in April. J. Palmer in charge. This is a preliminary to the annual flower show scheduled for April. The final meeting of the year will be a Dutch picnic at Hodges Gardens at which the 1961 officers will be installed. Those attending the planning meeting were Mrs.
