He Just arrived today In Alexandria from Vernon parish, where he eays there is plenty of rain at present, as well as In Allen parish, where he was Saturday. Mr. Flowers stated that he has never in his life seen better crops at this time of the year than he saw between Oakdale and band's body that she was financially unable to pay for having the body returned to Memphis. In the dining room the board laid for tea guests was most attractive, having a silver bowl filled with the favored blossoms while on each end silver candlesticks, tulle tied and surmounted by pink tapers, found placing. The pink and blue color scheme was effectively repeated throughout the luncheon. Little Miss Katheryn Brown and her small cousin, Marion Agate of Lafayette, welcomed each guest with an old fashioned bridal bouquet of pink and blue blossoms, in which were found small cards with this inscription "Announcing the engagement of Miss Hartwell Bordelon to Mr. James Leslie Duddlng." At auction and five hundred, favors for top score were drawn by Mmes.
