John Allison on Trial nt Shermitn for the Murder of George Allen. TO TUB 'SnERMAN, Dewraber Allison is on trial for the murder ot George Allen, colorad, near Gordoneville, on tbe 2id of December last. This is the murder that caused such, aa excitement at the time, as a negro church was burned tbs same night, and at tbe tiaio THIS supposed to be the work of ofesperadoss. George Belk aud Charles Cole wore said to ba the murderers. B-LOk and Colo left the country.

Tho former was followed by Ebb Douglas to Oklahoma, and arrested and brought back and jailed. Tho next grand jury indicted Belk and Cole. Allison lived about half a mile from where tbe negro was killed. Belk remained in five months and was 'hen reJeaped. Tbe following grand jury found a true bill against Allison.
