ANSWER; My hat if off lo any man who can keep the Ten Commandments in. his own strength. In fact, I have never met such a person. The Bible says: "We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God," and if we have all sinned, then no one except Christ has ever kept all the Commandments.

The question then arises: "Why did God give the Ten Commandments, if lie know we would all break The Commandments were given to reveal to us our moral weakness and our spiritual need. Tbev were like a mirror which revealed our iiiu leanness. The Bible uses another figure; it says; "The law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith, but alter faith is come we are no longer under a When we have learned all the lessons, we don't need the schoolteacher any lunger we then graduate into a new phase of development. Throughout history men have strained themselves to measure up lo the demands of the moral law. Through the redemption of Christ ve are given a new nature, and only by Ids help can we "fullill" the moral law and keep the Commandments.

"The law came by Moses." says the Bible, "but Grate and truth came by Jesus Christ." We cannot be saved by our own morality, lor we are by nature immoral. "We have all sinned." Johnson is a 103-year-old Negro. And wouldn't you know-it. he is one of the persons asked to fill out and wild in a long inlormation form asked of every fourth householder.

But Johnson cannot read or write. And neither can Anna Walker, his housekeeper. This puts the census takers at a disadvantage. Johnson's story of his origin varies. Nuns at the Cammehtc convent where he was a helper for many years believe he was born in England.

Johnson says he was born in Canada. He says he was born a slave and that one of his sons was killed in a war. He said he came lo the L'nitcd States hen he was 17. Census takers will make a return visit soon to Johnson's house to pick up the form. They're hoping that someone can help him fill it out.
