Red Gross Ramblings 'Tis the week before Christmas and all through the land The RED CROSS, as usual, is at your command! Year in and year out, it's the same story true Of a helpful RED CROSS, ever willing to do. That sort of sums up the many Red Cross activities that we hear about from time to time. A vote of "thanks" to the carpentry department of the Central Louisiana Trade School where four dozen walking canes were made for distribution among patients at the Veterans' Hospital. The cane handles were cleverly designed and beautifully finished. The Lanier class of the First Methodist Church recently rendered a valuable service by collecting used clothing for Red Cross. These garments are given to families whose homes have been destroyed by fire or other disasters and to other people who are facing emergencies.
