SepL 12 Just afier9 a.m. when Donald V. Sneed, 47. of Campbellsburg was kded when a cross arm on a fight pole broke, causing the live wire carrying 7.200 votts to fan on him. He was employed by Line Contracting and had worked for them about ten years.

The accident occurred Just across the road in the front of Hubert AulTs home. Mel Ray Timberlake came in from near Saginaw. Mich, and is spending a few days with Us grandmother. Mrs. Josephine Timberlake.

So glad Mrs. Audy (Inez) Ratdifi of Mundeu. who has been in Com-rrrunity Hospital at Indianapolis, has returned to her home. Sorry to hear that my longtime friend. Mrs.

Rccde Stihvell True-blood of Brownstown is a patient in the Jackson County Hospital. We wish her a speedy recovery. Had a nice phone conversation Saturday, SepL 10. with an old schoolmate. Mary Alice Rollins Young, of Guthrie Creek area.

She has been a patient in SL Vincent Hospital at Indianapolis, and her husband WUHe has been in Bedford Medical Center. She is a sister of Larry Rollins, the singer. Mrs. Linda Carpenter and children Missy and Ryan of Medora visited Mrs. John Frederickson and sons Sunday.

Fifty years ago on SepL 21 the late Donald M. Federickson and I weicmairied at Indianapolis in the Ktfle church on the north side of the circle by the Rev. R. A. McCann.

Our witnesses were my dad. the late John A. Ballard, and my sister. Josephine Ballard. Two days before our 36th wedding anniversary he passed away here at home with a sudden heart attack.

Body, and SouL" and Doris Herndon, dressed as a typical pioneer woman, presented a program about pioneer foods including paw-paw cookies and violet Jelly, samples of which she served to members of the group. President SherreU Perry read letters from three missionaries, and the group sang "Savior Like a Shepherd Lead Us." The hospitality committee, consisting of Becky Spurgeon, Janet Morning, Ruth Vivian Smith, and Joy Garrett, served a brown bag lunch of bologna and peanut butter, sandwiches along with cheese and fruit plates and coffee to those present including Jane Parman.

Le Ann Elliott gave a report about her recent stay at the 1988 Indiana State Fair school, and Veronica Bowling gave a report about the recent council meeting. Members discussed their Thanksgiving supper, and Lavonda Elliott led social activities with Bessie Canada and Le Ann Elliott winning prizes. Mrs. Canada also won the hostess gift. Others present for the meeting included Elsie Rosemeyer.

Tuesday. SepL 13: A clothes dryer overheated and caught a back room on fire at the residence of Joe Reed. 658 S. Vine SL The kitchen, utility room, and back rooms were damaged by fire. The rest of the house sustained smoke and water damage.

Firefighters estimated damage, to the house at $10,000 and damage to contents at $10,000. No injuries were reported. OrvUle Breece Orville R. Breece, 92. VaDonia.

died at 8:30 a.m. Friday. SepL 16. at the Jackson County Hospital. He had been ffl for several years.

ANavyveteran ofWorid War he retired after working for Arvin Industries of Columbus. He was a member of the VaOonia Christian Church. Mr. Breece. who moved to Jackson County from Minneapolis.

in 1942. was born March 3. 1896. to the late John L. and Bertha Schneider Breece.

On Jan. 18. 1942. he married Goldie M. Zike in Browns town, and she survives.

Funeral services were held Sunday. SepL 18. at the Johnson Funeral Home, VaDonia. Burial was in the VaDonia Cemetery. Memorials may be designated to the VaUonia Christian Church organ fund.

Alicia Harris Alicia Rose Harris was stillborn Sunday. Sept. 18. at the Washing- ton County Hospital. Salem.

Survivors include her parents: Steven Ray Harris and Betty Rose Bowman, both of Medora; one brother: Jessie Harris, Medora: one half-brother Bobby Harris. Medora: two half-sisters: Melissa Harris and Serena Harris, both of Medora; her maternal grandmother: Mary Bowman. Browns-town, and her paternal grandmother: Ruth Elkins, Medora. She was preceded in death by one half-brother: Johnny Harris: her paternal grandfather: Earl Franklin Harris, and her maternal grandfather. Jessie Bowman.

Graveside services will be conducted at 4 p.m. today. Tuesday. SepL 20. at the Leesville Cemetery.

Hague Funeral Home. Medora, handled the arrangements. Roger McKinney Roger McKinney. 75, 904 N.Pine Seymour, died at 10:40 p.m. Friday.

SepL 16. at the Jackson County Hospital. A Navy veteran of World War II. he retired after working for Seymour Manufacturing Co. He was a of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Seymour. 1 Mr. McKinney was born Oct 12. 1912. in Martin County to the late Claude E.

Extent of damage was not reported. 4 pan. Wednesday. SepL 14: A flatbed truck owned by an un-known person caught fire at the 47-mile marker of 1-65 south of Seymour. Jackson-Washington firemen responded.

Barbara Murray, and Robert Armstrong, all of Washington; William Armstrong. Lafayette, and C.B. Armstrong. Springfield. CL; one brother: Raymond McKinney.

Montkrello; three sisters: Rose Rumble and Charlotte Clark, both of Washington, and Martha Hyatt. Orlando. five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers. Funeral services were held Monday.
