Wilson said Castro and himself sometimes spend time together away from football, including four-wheeling at the Wilson family farm.

Both players said they are preparing for the time when they won't patrol the middle of the field together anymore, although Louisiana College has shown interest in recruiting both players. Wilson said he has received other college interest from Tulsa, Missouri Southern, Emporia State and the University of Texas at San Antonio. Castro said he has received some interest from Montana State, Angelo State and Harding University. "I think Mikey has the size to play linebacker in college now," Traylor said. "I think Luis needs to put on about 20 pounds in muscle, but he's tough and he would put in the work to make it" Both players said it would be a change to master the middle of a field without the other player around.

Wilson said what Castro has done off the field has usually picked his spirits up "When I'm down, he's there to create a smile on his face," Wilson said. Castro said the impact of Wilson's personality will be with him years from now. "I will miss his intensity," Castro said. Cowboys' Romo may return as team's kick holder IRVING The Dallas Cowboys might have a new holder on kicks, a guy who made a costly flub the last time he tried Tony Romo. Romo practiced as the holder for kicker Nick Folk on Wednesday and might do it Sunday against the San Diego Chargers. He would replace punter Mat McBriar. Folk has missed five of his last seven kicks. The last time Romo held for the Cowboys was in a January 2007 playoff game.

He bobbled the snap preventing Dallas from trying a short go-ahead field goal in the final minutes of what turned out to be a loss in Seattle, then tearfully apologized afterward. House panel passes college playoff bill WASHINGTON Dismissing complaints from some members that Congress had more pressing matters, a House subcommittee approved legislation Wednesday aimed at forcing college football to switch to a playoff system to determine its national champion. The legislation, which still faces steep odds, would ban the promotion of a postseason NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision game as a national championship unless it results from a playoff. Mavs' Thomas involved in fight at eatery DALLAS Dallas Mavericks forward Tim Thomas was at a Dallas restaurant when a fight broke out early Wednesday during a dispute between him and another patron.
