MAY 7, 1999 CHURCH BULLETIN DAILY PLANNER Today MUSIC TO SHOP BY: Waterside Shops at Pelican Bay in Naples kicks off its third annual summer concert series with classical music by the Naples String Quartet The series featured at the shops, corner of U.S. 41 and Seagate Drive in Naples, from 6 to 8 p.m. each Friday through Sept. 24.

Classical musical is featured in May, smooth jazz in June, golden oldies in July, big band in August and top pop in September. Saturday CANOE RACE: The 23rd annual Great Dock Canoe Race at the Dock Restaurant at Crayton Cove in Naples. "Outlaws" is the theme. Collier County Sheriff Don Hunter serves as grand marshal. The race includes three heats the first at 11 a.m.

is the mad-cap dash on a shortened course, followed by the traditional team races at 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers of each race. Students play the music of their choice on a special $118,000, handcrafted, 7-foot Schmimmel grand magic piano designed by Otmar Alt.
