Because of irregular inspection scores by the Holiday Inn, Review Board members voted to have the establishment inspected by sanitarians every two weeks for the next three months until August 17. Since the first of the year, the Holiday Inn has received scores of 77, 93, 100, 97, 78, 95 92 and most recently 81. The rating system is based on 100 possible points with each item on the inspection list given a numerical I value.

Under the scoring system 0-86 is unsatisfactory and 97-100 is satisfactory. The up and down scoring pattern by food establishments is termed "Yo-Yoing" by health department officials. During the meeting, Dr. Gelfer Kronfeld, acting food coordinator, said, "They (Holiday Inn) are gradually getting into the right method of operation and imr-povements are being made. However, I would like to see quicker action since the problems are of a management nature and do not involve equipment." Bob Deville, manager of Publix Supermarket in the Naples Shopping Center, moved that the Holiday Inn be inspected every two weeks for the next three months.

"If it (Holiday Inn) fails inspection during this time," Deville said, "they will be brought before an emergency meeting the following Monday without a reinspection." The board unanimously approved the motion. The Food Review Board was established by county ordinance and has the authority to request the health director to close a food establishment which does not meet minimum standards. Also, under the board's operating policy, when a food establishment falls below the minimum score twice in succession, it automatically is summoned before the board to explain why. The Golden Gate Golf and Country Club, the only establishment to fail inspection last week by the sanitarians at the Collier County Health Department, received a score of 85. The following restaurants received perfect scores of 100: Glades West, (on a reinspection), Islander Lounge, Leo's Ice Cream Trudk and the White House Restaurant.

The restaurant report is published weekly by the News-Press as a service to area residents and visitors. Florida health codes require full compliance by all establishments. Ex-Stewardess Recalls Early Days Of Flight CHICAGO (AP) It was a gritty thing to be a stewardess in the early days of commercial airline flights, former stewardess Claire Reardon Wassenberg of Miami has told a flight attendants' reunion. At 67, Mrs. Wassenberg is one of the world's oldest former airline stewardesses.

She told many tales for the 500 former American Airlines stewardesses who ended their reunion here Saturday. "We used to have to carry money for refunds so that when we made a forced landing we could give the passengers money to catch a train on to their destination," she said. "On my first flight we lost an engine, and we only had two to begin with. I was too dumb to be afraid." Most of the former stewardesses said the main question asked of them by male passengers was: "Would you join me for dinner when we land?" Someone figured that the 500 stewardesses had, collectively, heard that line about 3 million times. Mrs.

Wassenberg, however, said she didn't have many problems with amorous male passengers. She said most were too afraid to get fresh. "In 1934 When I flew there were no pressurized cabins so we had to fly low," she recalled. "The night flights were kind of smooth, but it got pretty rough during the days." Planes couldn't fly over storms so they flew through them, "and sometimes we'd be laid over for two weeks at a time because of the bad weather." 1 "In those days a stewardess had to be a registered nurse," Mrs. Wassenberg said.

"There was so much sickness on the planes. People were fainting a lot of the time." Help your NEW 76 4 DR. Corolla Automatic Air- Radial Tires Rear Defroster Reclining Seats Radio Celica GT '76 DEMO Celica GT. G.T. Trim Vinyl Roof 5 Speed Front A Roar Spoilers AM-fM Stereo AirCond.
