He was a former resldenf of Miami and had lived here since 196S. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Rubylee Hanchett of Unicoi, and Alice Madlln of Peoria, three granddaughters, one great-grandson and several nieces and neohews.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Leo W. Engelhard! Funeral Home with the American Legion Post 38 conducting military service. Visitation will be today from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

JOSEPH LEE NICHOLS Joseph Lee Nichols, 65, of West Palm Beach died Sunday In a Hollywood, hospital. He had been a lifetime resident of Hollywood. Survivors Include one daughter, Barbara Lawson of Macon, three sons, James Nichols of Fort Myers, Joseph Lee Nichols Jr. of West Palm Beach and Danny Nichols of Tampa; two brothers, Lanny Nichols and Broward Nichols of West Palm Beach, a sister, Maggie West of Winter Haven, and five grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m.

JAMES H. ANDERSON Funeral service for James H. Anderson, 25, of 2125 Franklin St. will be held today at 10 a.m. at Leo W.

Brown 80, of 3001 Estero Fort Myers Beach, died Sunday In St. Petersburg. A retired postmaster from Morris-town, N.J., where he lived until his retirement, he had lived in Fort Myers for 16 years. A veteran of Both World War I and II, he was awarded the Medal of Honor (five engagements), two Distinguished Service Crosses, two Silver Stars, Croix de Guerre of France and commendations from Great Britain and Belgium. Among the numerous civic and service organizations he was a member of were Royal Arch Masons ot Morristown, N.J., Araba Shrine Temple of Fort Myers, Fort Myers Beach Shrine Club, Fort Myers Beach Lodge 362 AM, American Legion, V.F.W.

and Disabled War Veterans. He Is survived by his wife, Mrs. Frances L. Brown; two daughters, Mrs. Karlene Cooley of Cape Coral and Mrs.

Judith Miller of Morristown, N.J.; a son, Russell A. Brown Jr. of Idaho Falls, Idaho; two sisters, Mrs. A. V.

RHOADS Michelle L. Rhoads, 13, of 925 Del Prado Cape Coral, died Saturday In Tampa General Hospital. She was a seventh grade student at Caloosa Middle School. She attended and was a member of the choir of the Skyline Bible Church of Cape Coral. She was a member of the Phillies Girls Softball Team of Cape Coral.

She Is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Rhoads; a sister. Miss Chorlee Ann Rhoads and two brothers, Christopher H.

Rhoads and Robin James Rhoads, all of Cape Coral. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 4 p.m. at the chapel of Harvey Funeral Home with the Rev. William Stephens, pastor of Skyline Bible Church, and the Rev. Alma Coleman officiating.

Jane Dronsite of Old Bethpage, N.Y., and Mrs. Elizabeth O'Brien of West Hartford, three sisters, Mrs. Anne Healy, Mrs. Mildred Hayes and Mrs. Elizabeth Joyner, all of Winsted, 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

FRANCES BELLE JOHNSON Frances Belle Johnson, 97, of 1619 Poinciana died Monday. A native of Clearwater, she was a pioneer resident of Fort Myers, having lived here for the past 86 years. She was a member of the Riverside Baptist Church and the Lee County Pioneer Club. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Florence J.

George L. Terwilliger, 71, of 6744 Winkler Road, died Monday at Lee Memorial Hospital. A native of DeKalb, he came here in 1971. He attended the Cypress Lake United Methodist Church and was a member of the DeKalb First United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Acacia Fraternity, Phi Sigma Biological Fraternity, Kappa Delta Pi, Phi Delta Kappa, Illinois Education Association and National Education Association.

He received his doctor's degree from Columbia University, his master's degree from Denver University and his B.S. from Northern Illinois University. He was a Pioneer Resident Frances Belle Johnson, 97, a pioneer resident of Fort Myers, died Monday at the Shady Oaks Nursing Home. Mrs. Johnson, of 1619 Poinciana came to Fort Myers in 1890.

Meyer, 83, a retired architectural sculptor, died Monday in Fort Myers of a heart attack. Meyer and his wife, Dr. Edith Potter Meyer of 658 Gladiolus Drive, built a holiday home on Fort Myers Beach in 1951 and retired permanently on Gladiolus Drive in 1966. Meyer, born in Chicago, 111., was educated at the Maryland Institute, Baltimore, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia. He later went on to study art at the American Academy in Rome.

Since retiring, Meyer has devoted his leisure time to sculpturing and water colors, winning numerous awards in both fields. He also designed and built the couple's lavish home which stands on a rock between a fresh-water pond and a salt-water pool.
