She was born to Albert and Agnes Erkert on December 17, 1922 Philadelphia, PA, grew up in Egg Harbor, NJ, and graduated from Egg Harbor High School as Class Valedictorian.

Toni came to Port Huron in the mid 1960s, first working as a secretary with the Community Chest. She then became the executive secretary for the Port Huron City Engineer for 25 years, retiring in the early 1990s. Following her retirement she moved to Shelbyville, MI where she volunteered as a docent at the John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids. She also enjoyed teaching international folk dancing to children and loved to play the piano. Toni is survived by her eight children, Michael (Janet) Boyd of Vienna, VA and their children, Kurt and Katie Boyd, Martin (Colleen) Boyd, of Port Huron and their children, Jeremy, Daniel, and Sean Boyd, Timothy (Kathy) Boyd of Benson, VT and their children, Brian and Timothy Duclos, Peter (Suzanne) Boyd of Plainwell, MI and their children, Holly, Noah, Margaret, Sadie Boyd, Kevin (Brenda) Boyd of Port Huron, Matthew (Jane) Boyd of Port Huron and their daughter, Isabella Boyd, Miriam Boyd of Washington State, and Ann Boyd-Stewart (William) of Ypsilanti, MI and their children, Bill, Andrew, and Lauren Stewart, and Ken MacGregor; six great grandchildren; her sister, Alma (Don) Haley of Swarthmore, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Albert Erkert, her former husband, George Boyd, and her pets, Bonzo Petey. Cremation arrangements were by Smith Family Funeral Home-North, 1525 Hancock St. A memorial mass will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Allegan, MI at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 19th. Smith was a graduate of Algonac High School and was recently inducted into the Algonac High School Sports Hall of Fame for his athletic accomplishments. He was involved in the flower and greenhouse business for many years and owned Smith Sabin Flower Shop in Algonac. enjoyed golfing, watching sports (especially the Chicago Cubs), and playing the lotto. Cray, 81, died October 31, 2010. He was born December 8, 1928. Mr. Cray was a lst Lieutenant U.S. Army Korean War combat veteran.

During his career, he had been service manager for H.D. Chevrolet, a vice-president of Mary Maxim, Inc. and had later owned Hurley's Apple Orchard. He was an active member and trustee of B.P.O.E. and loved the challenge of playing their golf course.

Robert had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. He is survived by a son, John Kevin Cray Baldwin; a brother, Melbourne D. (Ann) Cray of Southgate; two sisters, Sharon (John) Langolf and Donna (William) Voight, all of Port Huron; a stepsister and stepbrother, Patricia Sirola and Don (Fran) Cray. He was preceded in death by two nephews, Brian Voight and Eric Schuman. Also preceding him in death was his longtime companion, Judy Gatzke.

She had two daughters that he loved as his own, Susan (Jim) Hromek and Kathy (Paul) Bringard and their children, Drew, Abby, Justin, Sandra, Steven and Sean. She is by two daughters, Nora (Terry) Cox and Nancy (Thomas) VanTroostenberghe; Michael (Dawn) Nowicki; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy (John) Molnar; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion "Steve" Nowicki, on February 3, 1986. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday in the Marysville Funeral Home.

A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday. Mrs. Nowicki will lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m.

Simpson Lime Company and was the "Grandma" of Grandma's Greenhouse. She was a previous parishioner and council member of Holy Rosary Church in Smiths Creek for many years. She loved to knit and crochet.

She is survived by her son Kurt (Joan) Simpson; grandchildren, David and Jon Simpson, Carrie Lint and Cassie Olson; 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Joy MacPherson and Dawn (Steve) Rushton and her K-9 companion "Babe." She was also preceded in death by her son Michael; sister- Margaret A. Simpson, 83, died Thursday, November 4, 2010 from complications after receiving a flu shot. Decker age 57, returned to his Heavenly Father Friday November 5, 2010 after fighting a long illness. Richard was born January 26, 1953, in St. Clair, Michigan. He was the son of Helen and the late William Decker of Marine City. Richard is survived by his wife Louise and their three children, Lisa (Jeff) Edgington, Eric and (Gillian) Decker, and Emily Decker.

He was further blessed by his four grand children, Easton, Julia, Ariella and Liviana (Edgington). Richard is also survived by his mother, Helen Decker, five sisters; and five brothers; Richard worked for gear manufacturing companies and was a Mechanical Genius. In 1994 Richard began his own company Decker Gear Inc. of Port Huron. Richard was a brother in the Knights of Columbus, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Fair Haven.

Edward Louis Avers Edward Louis Avers age 69 passed away at his home on November 4, 2010 with his family by his side after a long, hard fought illness.

He was born in Pearl Beach, MI. July 18, 1941, son of Donald J. and Erma (nee Martin) Avers. He married Mary Jane Morton, May 19, 1962 in Algonac, MI. He was a graduate of Algonac High School.

He served with the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He retired from GM Pontiac after 30 years and worked at the DNR St. Clair Flats Wildlife Area on Harsens Island following retirement. He loved woodworking, gardening, hunting, fishing, his cabin on the lake in the UP but his passion was deer hunting.

He dearly loved being with his family and grandchildren.
